Burke had been a best friend of Roger Collins. He was convicted of manslaughter for killing someone while driving drunk when in fact Roger had been driving. Burke was returning to Collinsport after serving time in prison to get revenge on Roger and the entire Collins Family.

Mr. Wells was played bt Conrad Bain who would go on to play Mr. Drummond on "Diff'rent Strokes".

Tate was a painter whose paintings of people came to life. He painted a portrait of Amanda in 1895 and she came to life. Amanda met Quentin in 1897. Another portrait by Tate, this one of Quentin, made Quentin immortal and cured him of being a werewolf.

The picture on the portrait aged and changed into a werewolf during full moons. Amanda and Quentin met again in 1968 and planned to marry, unfortunately she died.

Shortly after he became a vampire good witch Bathia Mapes attempted to remove the curse from Barnabas. Unfortunately she was not strong enough and died trying.

Bill Malloy was the manager of the Collins fishing fleet. He died under mysterious circumstances. His housekeeper, Mrs. Johnson, thinking that Roger Collins killed Malloy goes to work at the Collins estate and agrees to tell Burke Devlin anything she hears that he may be able to use against the Collins family.
