"Heartbreaker" was the perfect music to accompany the montage of devastating scenes from season 9, including Sam's near death, Sam's possession, Kevin's murder, the angel war, Castiel's humanity, the Mark of Cain's effect on Dean, Gadreel's death, Abaddon's death, Dean's murder, and finally, Dean's transformation from human to demon.

Answer: Hunting

Demon Dean spent the first two episodes with Crowley - drinking, singing karaoke, having sex with a waitress, playing foosball, fighting, and generally being obnoxious, since he cared about nothing and nobody. The one thing he did not do during this time was hunt. Sam, on the other hand, was focused like a laser on finding Dean - both before and after he realized his brother was a demon.

Answer: Crowley and Squirrel

Sam was at his most focused and intense, telling Crowley, "Hear me: I will save my brother or die trying," and "I am going to find you, I am going to save my brother, and I am going to kill . . . you . . . dead." When Sam accused him of making Dean his "pet," Crowley responded that Dean was his "best friend," saying that, "they'll write songs about us; graphic novels; the misadventures of Crowley and Squirrel." He followed up with, "Dean Winchester completes me." Crowley began calling Sam "Moose" in season 5, presumably because of his size.

In season 8, he tagged Dean with the nickname "Squirrel," completing the Rocky and Bullwinkle reference.

Answer: Cole

Cole Trenton kidnapped Sam to use as bait for Dean. When Sam tried to warn Cole away from Dean, he told him that his brother was "a monster." Cole refused to listen, and told Sam that, "Now he's prey." Cole wanted to kill Dean to avenge his father's death.

His plan was foiled; first, when Demon Dean refused to come to his brother's aid, and then when he let Sam escape to follow him to his brother, but Demon Dean beat him up and humiliated him.

Answer: Death

Crowley told Dean that he had to kill in order to satisfy the Mark of Cain. He told Dean that it was why he had sent the Abaddon supporters to him, and that Dean needed to keep killing. He elaborated, asserting that Dean would "snap eventually, the anger, the bloodlust - it's going to build up in you until you can't take it anymore." Crowley then asked, "Do you want to spike a civilian or someone who has it coming?" This was a good reminder that before being the King of Hell, Crowley was the King of the Crossroads, and as he put it during season 5, "had been selling sin to saints for centuries." The confrontation between Dean and Crowley later in the episode was intense, with Crowley telling Dean to "pick a bloody side," and finally realizing he could not control Dean. Soon thereafter, he led Sam to his brother in exchange for the First Blade.

Answer: Inigo Montoya

Cole spent half his life training to confront Dean, and Demon Dean shamed him. His reference to Inigo Montoya came from "The Princess Bride." The character in the movie (played by Mandy Patinkin) spent half his life training to avenge his father, and when he confronted the killer, said those words before killing him. Dean revealed he was a demon, but let Cole live.

While he was distracted, Sam doused him with holy water, and cuffed him with the Men of Letters' handcuffs.

Answer: He showed Lester how to sell his soul to get what he wanted

As Sam administered the blood to cure his brother, Dean taunted him about Lester. Through flashbacks, it was revealed that Sam showed Lester how to summon a demon and make a deal, offering his soul in exchange for his cheating wife's murder. Sam did this so he could get his hands on a demon to track Crowley and his brother.

He did not plan to let Lester make the deal, but it happened too fast to stop it. Then, Crowley gave the contract to Dean, and Dean killed Lester instead of the wife. Dean told Sam that he had cost Lester his life and his soul, but Crowley had already told Dean that Lester would keep his soul, since Dean did not kill his wife. Sam responded with another shot of blood, continuing to cure his brother.

Answer: Crowley

Hannah was injured, and the attacking angel, Adina, was about to kill Castiel. Crowley killed the angel and transferred her grace to Castiel to save his life. As he killed the Adina, Crowley asked, "Why can't you people just sit on clouds and play harps like you're supposed to?" When he saved Castiel, he told him, "You're useless to me dead." He then explained he saved him because he needed him to help Sam stop Demon Dean. Fun fact: Lil' Levi's was named for Levi Ackles, Jensen Ackles' youngest nephew. Ackles directed the episode.

Answer: Hammer

As Sam administered the blood, Dean became less of a demon, so he was able to escape the cuffs and devil's trap. He went searching for a weapon, and rejected the meat cleaver in favor of the hammer. When Sam locked him in the electrical room, Dean used the hammer to rip apart the door and break out.

He attempted to kill Sam with the hammer, but Sam ducked and held the demon knife to Dean's neck. He refused to kill his brother though, and Castiel helped Sam finish the cure. By the end of "Soul Survivor," Dean was human, but still had the Mark of Cain.

Answer: "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon

The music was the perfect start to an episode about werewolves. After the opening scene, viewers were treated to a scene of the brothers in sunglasses, sitting in lawn chairs, relaxing. Naturally, they both had seen the newspaper story about the killings, and soon agreed to go back to work.

Answer: Tasha

Kate was the werewolf the brothers decided not to hunt in "Bitten" in season 8, because she said she would live on animal hearts. She had kept her word, but she also turned her sister into a werewolf to save her life. Her sister was revealed to be the killer werewolf.

Answer: Brady Bunch

When Kate led the brothers to the cabin, she was waiting for them with the two other werewolves. Tasha had turned Brandon and Travis, and informed her sister that they were their new family. Dean's snarky response referred to the 1970's situation comedy about a blended family. Tasha gave her sister a choice - she could kill Sam or leave. Kate refused.

While the brothers fought the male werewolves, Kate tried to reach her sister. Tasha was past saving, though, so Kate had to kill her.

Answer: Muse

The monster of the week was Calliope, the goddess of epic poetry - the muse. "Supernatural" has a knack for meta fiction, and this 200th episode was a prime example. The drama club at an all girls school was putting on a musical based on the "Supernatural" books by Carver Edlund. People started disappearing.

It turned out that Calliope was kidnapping anyone that interfered with the director's/author's artistic vision. Once the author's vision was realized, Calliope would eat the author. The brothers spent the episode trying to stop the muse from kidnapping people and killing the author, Marie, while dealing with the awkwardness of watching the twisted story of their lives.

Answer: Boy melodrama

Both Sam and Dean guessed that BM stood for bowel movement. Marie explained to Dean it stood for "boy melodrama." Marie further explained that this was "the scene where the boys get together and they are driving or leaning against Baby, drinking a beer, sharing their feelings.

The two of them. Alone. But together. Bonded. But united." Dean's response was to tell the two actresses to step apart.

Answer: Man Tear

Both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are very expressive and have been able to summon tears for intense emotional scenes over the course of ten seasons. In particular, Ackles' single tear in episodes like "Heart" was dubbed "OPT," or "One perfect tear," by the Supernatural crew and fans of the show. The musical changed that to "A Single Man Tear."
