Answer: Khan worm

The worm was similar to the worm the brothers faced in "And Then There Were None." It possessed a POW, and two soldiers that had recently returned home. It then attacked Cole, who was trying to help one of the soldiers - his friend, Kit.

Answer: Withholding water

Dean first attempted to use electricity, which had worked in "And Then There Were None". This was a different species of worm, though, and that did not work. So, Dean then tried withholding water and heating up the room on Cole, so he would be dehydrated and the worm would evacuate the body.

It eventually worked on Cole, but not before Kit got free and attacked his wife, causing Sam to have to kill him.

Answer: Put his face on the back of his head

Rowena continued to vex Crowley in the episode, since she was angry that he had helped the Winchesters and had not taken care of the Grand Coven for her. The demon presented his problem to Crowley. When Crowley called Rowena to answer for her action, she told the demon she had harmed that she'd always said he "was two-faced."

Answer: Ghost

The brothers were hunting the ghost of a woman, Isabella. The ghost was possessing and killing men who cheated on their women, since she had been betrayed by her lover during her life. The brothers originally thought she was tethered through her journal, but Sam read the journal and found out she had cut off her finger and had her lover grind it up into his paint for his portrait of her. Sam burned the painting and killed her before she could kill Dean.

Answer: Allman and Bettes

The brothers used Allman and Bettes, the names of two members of The Allman Brothers. The band's "Ramblin' Man" was used during "Pilot" in season one.

Answer: Bobby

Sam and Cas needed someone in Heaven to help them get to Metatron, so they conducted a seance to speak with Bobby. Bobby was sitting in an easy chair, drinking, reading about Tori Spelling, and listening to Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler," when he heard Sam's call.

Answer: I'm an atheist

Oliver Pryce was a psychic that had worked with the Men of Letters when he was just a child, before the Men of Letters were wiped out. When Cas and Sam showed up at his door, he was able to read Sam's mind. When Oliver said he was an atheist, Sam's quick reply was, "Not anymore." Oliver helped Cas and Sam contact Bobby to help them.

Answer: Boris

In response to Crowley addressing him as "Squirrel," Dean said, "Boris. Where's Natasha?" With Dean referring to Crowley and Rowena as Boris and Natasha, the "Rocky and Bullwinkle" references abounded, since Crowley had been referring to Sam as Moose since season 5.

Dean and Crowley had a drink together and a conversation. Crowley told Dean that Rowena had said that the Mark of Cain "is just a curse, and can be removed."

Answer: Dean

Dean told Crowley that Rowena was a liar. He then asked Crowley why he was "letting Mommy Dearest tie you into knots?" Crowley replied, "Because we're family. We're blood." Dean said,"That's not the same thing. A wise man once told me, family don't end in blood [referring to Bobby], but it doesn't start there either." He then told him the rest, and asked, "That sound like your mother?"

Answer: "The Boys are Back in Town" by Thin Lizzy

Dean was enjoying "The Boys are Back in Town," and Sam was enjoying seeing his brother take pleasure in the music. Then, Sam turned off the radio so they could talk. Dean was hopeful that they could actually succeed in removing the Mark of Cain, and told is brother that if they succeeded, he was "going to take some time off." And, he made it clear that he was "talking about a beach." He talked a bit more about them taking a vacation before turning the radio back on to listen to the song some more.

Answer: Castiel's grace and the demon tablet only

Castiel kept Metatron alive because the scribe of God promised to lead him to the grace Metatron stole from him in "Sacrifice." He led him to a library, explaining that "nobody goes to libraries anymore" so "it's the safest place in the world." The two argued a lot. One classic exchange was Metatron saying they were "like a buddy comedy without the comedy." And Castiel replying, "Or the buddies." Castiel did find his grace there, but Metatron had also hidden the demon tablet.

He attacked Castiel, grabbed the demon tablet and escaped.

Answer: I thought you'd be shorter.

The two characters hit it off, meeting for the first time at the end of "Book of the Damned." After commenting on his height, Charlie noted the Angel had gotten his "mojo back." Charlie asked him to help her carpal tunnel syndrome and Cas obligingly cured her carpal tunnel and her bullet wound. She then punched him in the shoulder and asked if they were now "best friends."

Answer: "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who

The scene was very poignant, with the characters celebrating Cas getting his grace back and enjoying being together. But, Cas lied to Dean about how it happened, saying Hannah got it out of Metatron. And Dean continued to lie to himself and everyone else about how bad the Mark was getting. And, most of all, Sam was lying to everyone.

As the music played "No one knows what it's like to be the bad man, to be the sad man, behind blue eyes . . . to telling only lies," viewers saw in flashback that Sam had burned a different book, and brought the dangerous "Book if the Damned" to Rowena to be translated. Sam's desperation to save his brother continued, and the terror and desperation was clear in his eyes.

Answer: A spell that pushed people to commit suicide

Cuthbert cast a spell. When anyone attempted to get the codex, a green smoke was released. It entered people in the vicinity and created hallucinations to drive them to suicide. Dean's hallucination put him back in Purgatory with Benny, who tried to convince Dean to kill himself. And, Sam's hallucination brought Rowena to try to convince Sam to bleed himself to death in order to open the safe.

Answer: They are stronger together than apart

Dean told his brother, "That says something, doesn't it? The Werther splits us up in there and within an hour we're both on the brink of death . . . The universe is trying to tell us something we both should already know. We're stronger together than apart." This sentiment was also symbolized by the fact that it took blood from both brothers to open the box safely.
