"Man in the Wilderness" played while Dean walked through the woods and dug up the bones. He then cut his arm and allowed the glowing ooze imprisoned there to dribble over the bones as he recited an incantation. This resulted in Benny appearing behind him. Dean had provided the "soul train" he and Benny had discussed, since the door out of Purgatory that Benny knew about was only open to humans, not vampires.

Dean said this to Sam in "We Need to Talk about Kevin". When Dean first got into the Impala, he said he smelled dog, and Sam denied it. Later, when Dean asked how he had met Amelia, Sam said he had hit a dog and Dean realized he had been right, and responded with this gem.

It was revealed in "We Need to talk about Kevin" that Kevin had left messages on Sam's phone asking for help for six months. Sam never responded, since he had ditched his phones. Dean, still angry that Sam quit hunting and did not appear to have tried to find him, responded to Kevin with this succinct explanation.

Sam said this during "What's Up, Tiger Mommy?". Kevin insisted on checking on his mother and once the Winchesters and Kevin got to her home, they found her surrounded by demons. While the title of the episode had the term "tiger mommy," Sam was actually the only character that made reference to the term during the episode.

A tiger mom is a strict mother who pushes her children hard to ensure they excel in school. Linda turned out to be a strong, resourceful woman generally, in addition to her maternal commitment to her son.

Plutus, the God of Greed, included the tablet containing the word of God, in his auction. When the God's employee Beau told the brothers that he worked for the God Plutus, Dean responded, "Is that even a planet anymore?". Beau was not amused, but he did invite Kevin, his mother, and the Winchesters to the auction. Beau was dressed in a perfectly tailored pinstriped suit and hat, and carried a cane. Viewers may have been trying to figure out who he reminded them of - until Dean threw out a parting shot of, "Thank you, Mr. Peanut."

Crowley had been referring to Sam as "moose" since season 5. In season 7, Meg addressed Sam as "Bullwinkle". This was the first time that Crowley called Dean "squirrel" though, completing the reference to the cartoon. It made for some fun continuity for long time viewers of the show.

The bidding for the tablet included three billion dollars from Crowley, the "Mona Lisa" from Samandiriel, the real "Mona Lisa" involving nudity from Crowley, Vatican City from Samandiriel, and Alaska and the moon from Crowley. When those were not good enough, Plutus captured Kevin and added him to the auction as a tablet/prophet matched set. Linda offered her soul in exchange, to save her son. Crowley tried to offer his own soul, but Plutus pointed out that he did not have a soul. Linda did not end up losing her soul, though, since Crowley possessed her before the exchange could occur. Crowley then stole the tablet.

The detective was played by Alan Ackles, father of Jensen Ackles (Dean). Jensen Ackles directed the episode. This was the second time he directed an episode of "Supernatural" that included his father. Alan Ackles also voiced the newscaster in "Weekend at Bobby's," an episode directed by Jensen Ackles in season 6.

Brick Holmes was a Mayan athlete that made a deal with Kakau, a Mayan god, 1,000 years ago to allow him to stay young and athletic and live forever. In exchange, he killed people twice a year by ripping out their hearts and eating them, as a sacrifice to the god.

After he died and his organs were transplanted into others, the transplant patients continued the killings. That is when Sam and Dean discovered what was happening.

All three kids were bitten. First, Mike was bitten by his professor. The professor bit him in order to turn him into a werewolf and frame him for the murder he had committed. The professor had attacked and killed another student, Jacob Carter. Brian, who was jealous of Mike, then blackmailed the professor into biting him too.

After Brian and Mike fought and Mike was killed, Brian then bit Kate. She killed him, and after completing the film about all of this and leaving it for the Winchesters, she hit the road, planning to live on animal hearts.

Answer: "Starsky and Hutch"

Brian called the brothers "Starsky and Hutch" the characters from the 1970s television show about two detectives. Mike responded by calling them "Rizzoli and Isles" the female characters of a detective and a medical examiner from the television show that ran in the 2010 decade.

Dean was caught on tape saying "awesome" several times, including the first time the kids saw him, at the crime scene for the first victim. Kate said she was "pretty sure FBI agents don't say 'awesome' that much." After watching the film, Dean asked Sam if he really said "awesome" a lot. Sam, wisely, said "no". Dean's last line in the episode as he looked at a picture of Kate was "awesome".

Answer: Rain Man

Dean said this to Sam, referring to Kevin Tran, in "Blood Brother". Dean and Sam were both frustrated, having followed a false credit card trail to Oregon, searching for Kevin. Shortly after this scene, Dean received a distress call from Benny and left to help him.

In "Blood Brother," Benny told Dean that his nest had several boats and used them to attack vessels on the sea, kill the passengers and steal their valuables. Dean responded that they were "vampirates". Benny stated that nobody had ever said that before, which stunned Dean, since it was so obvious to him.

This scene occurred in "Blood Brother" when Dean, Benny and Cas were working together in Purgatory. The deadly scenes were also amusing, with the vampire and the angel sniping at each other and Dean keeping the peace. The episode ended with Sam finally finding out his brother was friends with a vampire, setting up conflict for future episodes.
