The news report calling the phenomena a global meteor shower was on the television in Sam's hospital room while Dean was talking to the doctor. Sam also mentioned it during his discussion with himself (in the form of Dean) in the car.

Answer: Ezekiel

Ezekiel was an injured fallen angel who possessed Sam in order to save Sam's life. Dean agreed to help the angel possess his brother when Ezekiel told him it was the only way to save Sam's life. Since the angel was also injured, he told Dean he could heal them both from inside Sam. Dean agreed to hide this from Sam to prevent his brother from ejecting the angel and dying.

Answer: Stab Crowley in the brain

Sam told Dean he would have "stabbed him in the brain." Dean responded that he "figured the king of Hell might know a few things, so why not zero dark thirty his [butt]?" (This was a reference to the movie that involved torture. Dean made the same reference during "Goodbye Stranger" in season 8, referring to Castiel torturing a demon for information.) Dean then proceeded to open his trunk, revealing Crowley, and calling the demon, "the junk in my trunk."

Answer: Kevin

In "Devil May Care", Dean entered the Men of Letters bunker, and Kevin shot an arrow at him, missing him and hitting the railing. Kevin was surprised to find Dean alive. Dean told him, "Yeah, because you're a crappy shot, Katniss." Katniss Everdeen is a fictional character from Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games". Kevin then told Dean what happened in the bunker, and that he had thought the world was ending. Dean later held up the bow and told Kevin, "Listen, the next time the world is ending, grab a gun."

Answer: Agents Stark and Banner

Dean introduced them to the army officer as Agents Stark and Banner. These were references to Tony "Iron Man" Stark and Bruce "The Incredible Hulk" Banner from "The Avengers".

When the officer asked to speak with their supervisor, Dean called Kevin. After initially panicking and calling himself Kevin Solo, he then rallied, hacked the military's email, and blackmailed the officer (with information from her Facebook page) into cooperating with the brothers. When she asked how he got the information, he responded, "I'm Kevin-frickin-Solo." Dean was impressed.

Answer: Clarence

Castiel called himself "Clarence." Meg called him this numerous times, first in "Abandon All Hope", when Castiel was trapped by Lucifer and Meg taunted him, stating, "We're [referring to the demons] going to Heaven, Clarence." Sam pointed out to Dean that Castiel was trying to hide that he was an angel, but did not realize he was using the name of a famous angel from "It's a Wonderful Life".

Answer: Bartholomew

In addition to threatening his subordinates if they failed to find Castiel, hiring rogue reapers to find him, and working with the televangelist to create willing vessels for his army, Bartholomew also showed no hesitation to let people be killed if they were unable to contain angels.

This conversation occurred during "I'm No Angel", when the brothers stopped for road snacks while searching for Castiel. Dean's love of pie was highlighted throughout the series, with him often requesting the treat. It was an ongoing joke, as Sam forgot to get him pie or the treat was unavailable on several occasions.

This conversation happened at the end of "I'm No Angel". The brothers were amused to hear that Castiel, as Dean put it, "gave it up to a reaper." However, the amusement soon ended when Zeke told Dean that Castiel could not stay in the bunker or Zeke would be in danger. Since Dean knew Sam still needed to be healed by Zeke, Dean was forced to make Castiel leave.

When Dean asked Charlie where she found the "Supernatural" books, she told him they were on "Amazon." She then told the brothers that all the unpublished works had been uploaded by someone with the screen name, "BeckyWinchester176." Sam was clearly horrified to realize that his crazy stalker fan who once drugged and kidnapped him and married him while he was drugged, was now using her married name, even though the marriage was never consummated and was annulled.

In "Slumber Party", Crowley was whistling "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" when the brothers walked in. He bargained with the information he learned from the witch, getting the brothers to temporarily unchain him from his chair. In exchange, he told them the witch was looking for a key. Dorothy told them it was the key to "Oz."

Answer: Game of Thrones

Dean rented season 1 of "Game of Thrones" for the brothers to watch. When Charlie arrived to help them with the computer, the three ended up hanging out in Sam's room, watching the marathon. Then, in the very next episode, the taxidermist was dressing up the animals he stuffed like characters from the same series.

Shortly after the spell, Dean was able to talk to Colonel, the dog that witnessed the murders. While doing so, Sam balled up a paper and threw it in the trash. Dean pulled it out of the trash and gave it back to him. He then did it again, confusing his brother.

He was also scratching behind his ear, and he "barked" at the mailman, yelling, "You! You! You!" Sam realized Dean was exhibiting dog behavior at this point, pointing out all his actions, including "playing fetch." Dean responded with the classic line from "Scooby Doo" - "rut roh." Later, Dean and Colonel both stuck their heads out of the window while Sam drove.

Answer: "What was your mom smoking when she had you two?"

In "Dog Dean Afternoon", cancer-stricken Chef Leo was using shaman magic to keep himself alive, eating parts of animals to temporarily gain their strengths and abilities. In doing so, he became less human, and started murdering people. When he saw Sam heal, he decided to eat him to gain his healing ability, and told Dean he would first kill Dean and then eat his brother.

The chef ate a wolf heart to kill Dean, but Dean got free and whistled for the dogs he had released from the pound. The dogs killed the chef.

Answer: it completely took over

Dean stopped part way through making this statement, clearly hearing his own words and realizing they applied to his brother. As he said, "just a matter of time before it completely took over," the realization of what he had done to save his brother, and the consequences they may both face, was on Dean's face.
