The rebel group rides into the village in a white truck looking for children to steal. They take hold of an old man and try to force Eko's younger brother to shoot him. Eko steps in and does the killing for his brother. The rebels then take Eko away.
The necklace is saved by the younger brother, who goes on to become a priest.

Claire sits down next to Eko for a small chat. On his staff, Eko's carved out a cross and the words 'hateth', 'revelations', and 'titus'.

Since Aaron is the brother of Moses, Eko was curious why she picked it. Claire did not really know why, other than she liked it. They discussed the burden the first Aaron must have felt being Moses brother and compared to him. Eko did not reveal it to Claire, but he could relate to that idea. Eko explained to Claire that Aaron spoke for Moses, as Moses had a hard time doing so himself.

Charlie asks Jin if he's heard of The Kinks, but Jin has no idea what Charlie means. He says something in Korean, to which Charlie replies in agreement that he does have a beautiful voice. Charlie's actions have begun to reflect an arrogance that may be associated with his using heroin again.

Eko offered to buy the drugs, as he was the only one who knew a way to get them out of the country. Unfortunately for the men, one of them insulted Eko. So, Eko killed both men before they'd realized what had happened.

It was a rather large bottle of Dharma Ranch dressing. Michael fired at it without ammo first, but hit on his first try with live ammunition. After he hit it, he smiled secretively.

The first time Eko visits his brother the priest, he encounters a woman outside the church selling the statues. She explains what the money is for, and he later purchases 300 hundred to hide the heroin inside.

At the end of "What Kate Did", she comments that he needs a haircut. While she is cutting it, he tells her that she is little too close to his ear. He calls her Freckles again, and then calls Hurley Pillsbury. Hurley and Michael both told Sawyer that they were glad he was OK, just after Kate had said that everyone loved him now.

This also happened to Locke in season one. This mysterious "monster" is now undeniably revealed to be a column of smoke. The smoke is very smart. It appears to be electrically charged. As the camera crosses into the smoke, we find out that this being is not only showing flashes of events past on the island, but reading Eko's mind as well. We see glimpses of the people of his village, as well as what appears to be an upside down image of Jack the first day of the crash. That one appears in the upper right corner.

The only way to discern these images is to pause and move forward slowly, frame by frame. It may be Cindy, the missing flight attendant, who flashes in the middle of the screen during this inside look at the black smoke. I suspect that this smokey being can become whatever solid object it wants, and may be causing Michael to see a false conversation with Walt on the computer inside the hatch.

Answer: he has many statues stashed away

Charlie lied many times about the statues and their contents. He tried lying to Eko, but Eko already knew too much to fall for it. At the end of the episode, Charlie takes the statue to where the others are all hidden. This leaves little doubt that he's been using heroin for awhile.

It's always possible he has not used yet, but his actions depict drug addict behavior. He lies, he's arrogant, and he fakes being tough.
