"The Amazing Race 27" [6] Trivia Quiz

Answer: Hong Kong

After spending one last night in Agra, India, the final four teams started a new day by opening their clues at the Four Points by Sheraton. For this leg of the race they would need to make their way back to the city of Delhi and catch a flight to Hong Kong. Upon landing, they would be able to ride in style in one of the airport's Rolls-Royce limos to their next destination, the Peninsula Hong Kong, where their next clue box would be waiting at the front entrance.

Answer: Justin and Diana

The first order of business for teams in Hong Kong was to select their Detour task. Though all of the other teams went with 'Sam's', Justin and Diana struck out alone to head to 'Cells', a task which required that they head to a market in the Sham Shui Po District of Hong Kong.

There, searching through boxes of used and broken cell phones in marked stalls, they had to find one of a handful that worked and then call the number on the screen. This would direct them to the location of their next clue at Kong Wah Telecom (HK) Limited on Kweilin Street.

They could trade the phone for their next clue.

Answer: A suit

The three teams who went with the 'Sam's' Detour option had to visit the world-famous Sam's Tailor workshop in Hong Kong's Yau Tsim Mong District. Using tools provided they had to cut out six perfect pieces fo a suit jacket and have them approved by a tailor.

When completed, teams could grab a fully-made suit and deliver it to the Sam's storefront in the city to collect their next clue, sending them by taxi to the to the Hong Kong Turbojet Ferry Terminal to pick up Premier Grand Class tickets to Macau.

Answer: Fish

Reaching Macau, teams were instructed to make their way to the City of Dreams Dancing Water Theatre in Cotai. Once there, they could receive their Road Block clue from an actor inside. For this task, participating team members had to get outfitted in costume and make-up for a unique water performance. Jumping from the mast of a pirate ship set thirty feet above the pool, they had to search the performance pool for a golden fish and return it to a marked raft before the music in the piece ended. Krista, Kelsey, Logan, and Diana were selected to complete this task.

Answer: Tiffany and Krista

When teams finished their Road Block task they received one final clue for the race telling them to proceed to their final Pit Stop at the Centro Náutico da Praia Grande at Nam Van Lake. Logan and Chris managed to take their first win of the race in this leg, landing on the mat to secure their place in the finals and a trip for two to Cuzco, Peru courtesy of Travelocity. Though Justin and Diana accrued a fifty-five minute penalty for taking the wrong ferry to Macau, their placement was unaffected as Tiffany and Krista were unable to land on the mat fast enough to move out of fourth and avoid elimination.

Answer: New York City

To start their last leg of the race, the final three teams had to spend the bulk of their final day on Long Island in New York. Taking a trip from Hong Kong to JFK International Airport in New York City, teams arrived to hop into cabs and head to the FDNY Fire Academy and training facility on Randall's Island.

It was there that teams would be able to engage with the final Road Block task featured on this season. Unlike other recent seasons, this season did not feature a double Road Block (with one being completed by each team member).

Answer: Firefighter helmets

At the FDNY Fire Academy, one member of each team needed to get involved with the mother of all fire drills as they suited up and joined New York City's firepeople in training. Justin, Joey, and Chris hauled a fire hose and the ascended the fire ladder into a burning building to search for a dummy trapped inside.

Then, they could return to the outside of the building to participate in their first memory challenge for the leg for which they had to arrange nine fire helmets with capital cities on them in the order that their countries were visited on the race course. Completing this would give teams their next clue.

Answer: Lobster

Following the Road Block, teams needed to take their cabs to Belmont Park, home of the final race of the horse racing Triple Crown, where they would be able to hitch a helicopter ride to Southampton Airport on the far end of Long Island. There, teams could race on foot to Shinnecock East County Park, pick up a Sea-Doo, and head to one of three marked lobster boats off the Long Island coast. Once out on the boat, they had to join local trappers in hauling seven lobster traps from the water and replacing them with new ones. Only then could they start their second memory task, this time involving flags of the nations visited in this season of the race. If they could get all nine proper flags in order, they could get their next clue.

Answer: Chairs

After finishing on the lobster boats, teams were brought closer to shore and dropped off to swim to Cooper's Beach. There, teams could race on foot along the sands to a set of dune buggies and head to their third and final memory challenge. At one of three workstations along the water's edge, they needed to build six Adirondack chairs using pieces painted with different activities or items encountered on the race course. If they could arrange the completed chairs in the proper order they could get their last clue.

Answer: Kelsey and Joey

Completion of the final memory challenge meant that teams could open their last clue and proceed on foot to the Finish Line at 1620 Meadow Lane, just along the beachfront. Kelsey and Joey, who held onto their cab leading out of the Road Block and maintained their lead while the others scrambled, finally won a leg of the race when it mattered the most, claiming the $1,000,000 prize as winners of "The Amazing Race 27".

They were followed by Justin and Diana in second place and Logan and Chris in third.
