Bridgette is going away on a modeling trip for a month, but Jerry has the chance to spend a few hours with her if he can fly back from a gig in Ithaca in time. He plans to meet her at the diplomat's club. Meanwhile, Elaine plans on quitting her job with Mr. Pitt.

Elaine decides to march into Mr. Pitt's office and quit, but he stops her just before she decides to speak to tell her that he has just written her into his will as a beneficiary since she's almost like a daughter to him. Mr. Pitt also says that he seems to be coming down with a cold and she suggests that he check with a pharmacist to make sure his cough medicine can mix with his heart medicine.

At work, George compares his African-American boss to Sugar Ray Leonard and soon everyone thinks that George is extremely racist. George finds this unfair, and Jerry sides with George's co-workers in saying that it was a bit out of line to say anything.

Jerry stops them because he wants Kramer to continue with his 'no gambling' streak. Meanwhile, Katie doesn't tell Jerry about turning off the main road and they crash the rental car into a pool.

Jerry calls George so that he can go to the Diplomat's Club and meet up with Bridgette, but George still has his racism dilemma. He asks about the man who exterminated his fleas two episodes earlier and decides to bring him to meet his boss. Karl, of course, has no idea what any of this is about and George's boss sees right through the plan.

Elaine gets fired. Jerry calls Mr. Pitt's office and his lawyer picks up the phone. The lawyer eavesdrops on Elaine's call and assumes that she and Jerry are behind a plot to kill Mr. Pitt and take his money. When a news report is aired about the car that Katie crashed, Mr. Pitt decides to fire Elaine for his own safety.
Elaine does arrive at the Diplomat's Club and Kramer wins his final bet. Elaine tells Kramer about Jerry's flight and the southern man takes his money back. Jerry makes it back to the airport in time and finds Bridgette, but the pilot finds him.
