In the beginning of the episode, Elaine, George, and Jerry are at the coffee shop. Elaine and George are discussing the events at the end of the previous episode where Rabbi Kirschbaum, who Elaine talked to for help, blabbed her feelings about George's marriage to her neighbours and the viewers of his TV show, which included George and his fiancée Susan. Meanwhile, Jerry wonders why anyone would eat canned fruit when regular fruit can be found a couple aisles over in a grocery store.

In the end of the previous episode, Kramer tried to sneak a café latte into a viewing of "Plan 9 from Outer Space" that he intended to view with Jerry, but when he tripped over another viewer on his way to his seat, he spilled his coffee all over him.

Although he was kicked out of the theater and burned badly, he and Jackie Chiles are happy because he can sue the café on the grounds that the coffee was simply too hot.

After talking to Elaine and Jerry, George goes shopping with Susan at her uncle's fine clothing store where she attempts to pick out some new clothes for him (although he doesn't care for the idea). When he notices a security guard in the store, he considers the man's well-being because he must tire himself out standing in a corner all day.

He considers talking to Susan's uncle about this.

When Kramer returns to Jerry's apartment, he informs Elaine and Jerry that things are looking bright for his court case, and Elaine calls him despicable. After this, Bob Cobb (also known as The Maestro) appears at Kramer's apartment to deliver some Chinese balm for his coffee burns. Elaine immediately takes a liking to the man, who prefers to be known as 'Maestro'.

During his conversation, the Maestro brings up the fact that he had just returned from his house in Tuscany, and he subtly points out to Jerry that there's nothing for sale in Tuscany, so he shouldn't consider searching for property there. This quickly makes Jerry wonder. Kramer says that Jerry hurt the man's feelings by calling him Bob Cobb.

While Jerry and George discuss the security guard at Susan's uncle's store, Kramer comes in excited about his court case. Java World, who was responsible for the coffee, has agreed to settle because they're afraid of bad publicity. Meanwhile, while Elaine is on a date with the Maestro, she calls him 'Bob' and he launches into a conversation about why he should be referred to as 'Maestro' instead.

She agrees to this.

The night before he is set to meet with the executives from Java World, Kramer applies the balm that was given to him by the Maestro and his burns are healed overnight. When he tells this to Jackie, they find that they are in trouble, because if the executives with to see the burns, then the two won't be able to back up their claim. Meanwhile, George visits the clothing store and discusses the chair idea with the guard.

During their meeting with the coffee executives, Kramer quickly jumps up and snatches an offer for free coffee from Java World for the rest of his life. Unbeknown to Kramer, they were also planning to offer him $50,000 to settle the matter, but he took the deal too early. Jackie scolds him for doing this claiming that he's never seen anything like that situation in over twenty years of practicing law.

In order to determine if there really is a house in Tuscany, Jerry decides to talk to Poppie, who has connections in Italy. He is directed to Poppie's cousin in Little Italy. Meanwhile, George thinks about which type of seat to get for the security guard and Kramer takes advantage of his lawsuit settlement by drinking numerous café lattes.

George finally decides to bring the man a rocking chair, and he manages to bypass the manager of the store by using the fact that he is engaged to the owner's niece. The rocking chair later causes the security guard to fall asleep on the job, which in turn gets the store robbed.
Jerry discusses a house in Tuscany with Poppie's cousin, Ciccio. He ends up renting the house for $17,000, and it happens to be right in front of the Maestro's villa.
