Seymour Skinner was born Armin Tamzarian and moved to Springfield after the real Seymour Skinner was presumed dead. He took his identity and pretended to be Seymour ever since. The truth came out and he left Springfield, but later returned to assume his role in the town. In the series, he goes out with teacher Edna Krabappel and proposed to her in "Special Edna".
