Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who invented the character of Itchy?

Answer: Chester J. Lampwick

This is discovered in "The Day the Laughter Died" when Bart meets him on the wrong side of the tracks. He claims to have invented cartoon violence, proven when Bart finally buys an original cell drawing of 'Steamboat' Itchy and signed by Lampwick in 1919.
2. Where does Herman work?

Answer: The military antiques shop

We see this in a very early episode, "Bart the General", when Bart and Nelson wage war on each other. Grampa takes Bart to meet Herman so that they can work out a battle plan.
3. What was Asa a member of?

Answer: Flying Hellfish

We learn this in the episode "Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in 'The Curse of the Flying Hellfish'" when Grampa and Mr Burns have a fight over the remains of stolen artworks from the Second World War. Asa died, leaving them the only two surviving members.
4. What does Mr. Largo teach?

Answer: Music

He is the band teacher at Springfield Elementary. We see him as the conductor in the show's opening sequence. Lisa also states that he is one of her two main musical influences (the other being Bleeding Gums Murphy) when she is home sick and learns to embroider.
5. Who did Gloria date?

Answer: Burns

She was a cop who used to go out with Snake. This is in the episode "Hunka Hunka Burns in Love" and Snake and Burns come to a confrontation in Barney's Bowl-A-Rama.
6. Who did Ned Flanders marry while in Vegas?

Answer: Ginger

He married Ginger and Homer married Amber in the episode "Viva Ned Flanders". They make a return in a later episode, after Maude died. Ned takes her into his home, and tries to make their marriage work.
7. Who did Marge go to the high school prom with?

Answer: Artie Ziff

Marge originally told Homer she would go with him, but then she said she hated him for making her pull an all-nighter to teach him French. She ended up going with her debate partner, Artie, and Homer was jealous. After Artie took Marge to Expression Point, Marge realised she really wanted Homer.
8. Who did Leon Kompowsky pretend to be?

Answer: Michael Jackson

In the episode "Stark Raving Dad", Homer wears a pink shirt to work and consequently placed in a mental institution. He meets Leon there, who tells him he is Michael Jackson. It is believed the character is actually voiced by Jackson, although due to contract reasons, it is credited to John Jay Smith.
9. When Bart pretended to fall down a well, what name did he use as his identity?

Answer: Timmy O'Toole

In "Radio Bart", Bart is given a microphone for his birthday from Homer. He puts a small radio down the well and pretends he has fallen. When Lisa points out that he put a 'Property of Bart Simpson" label on it, he tries to get it back and ends up falling for real. Sting helps to rescue him.
10. What did Mr Black do?

Answer: Ran Kamp Krusty

Krusty admitted that he only agreed to the camp because 'they drove a dump truck full of money' up to his house. Mr Black greets the kids on the first day, and you can also hear his voiceover on the video of Krusty.
