They later reappeared in the show when they came to live with Homer and Ned respectively. In the 300th episode when Bart sues Homer we hear him say that half of his wage goes to his Vegas wife and the other half will now go to Bart.

We meet him in "Homer at the Bat" when Mr Burns bets him a million dollars that the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's baseball team will beat the one from Shelbyville. Burns then makes Smithers go out and buy Major League players such as Daryl Strawberry. Amadopolis also features in the episode where Homer inadvertently saves the plant from a nuclear meltdown.

In the season 2 episode "Colonel Homer", Homer went out of town and discovered the singing talent that was Lurleen.
