Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Before their abduction, Harold and Chrissy were driving down the road. Harold turned to Chrissy and said, "I don't want to scare you, but __________."

Answer: I think I'm madly in love with you

Chrissy smiled and reminded him that this was only their first date. Then the car's engine died and the vehicle rolled to a stop before the flash of light revealed a hovering UFO.
2. When looking at the gargantuan alien, what did the first gray alien say to the second gray alien?

Answer: "Jack! What is that thing?"

In normal English, the alien exclaimed to his companion, "Jack! What is that thing?" The second alien shot back, "How [...] should I know?"
3. Scully told Jose Chung that she'd agreed to talk to him only because she admired his writing so much and mentioned "The Lonely Buddha" as one of her favorite books. Chung was clearly flattered and told her that he'd initially thought she was just some what?

Answer: brainy beauty

After Scully mentioned his book, Chung exclaimed, "Oh! And here I was thinking you were just some brainy beauty. Now I find out that you also have good taste."
4. What literary genre did Chung say he was going to create?

Answer: nonfiction science fiction

Chung confessed that he hadn't initially been interested in writing about alien abduction, but realizing he could pioneer a new genre and thereby guarantee best-seller status, he succumbed to that ever-motivating draw: money.
5. How did Scully describe Chrissy's clothes when she was found in the morning?

Answer: on inside out and backwards

Scully told Chung that Chrissy had been experiencing what Mulder called "lost time" and described the state of her clothes. Chung replied cheekily, "Have I had my share of mornings like that."
6. Which term did Scully tell Chung she preferred: "abductee" or "experiencer"?

Answer: neither

She said that she preferred neither, though Mulder used "abductee". Chung said that he preferred "the other. 'I've just had a little alien experience' as opposed to, 'I've just been abducted.'"
7. Scully described Chrissy's "visitation" the night after her abduction. Who or what visited her?

Answer: Harold

Chrissy woke up with a nosebleed and looked at the foot of her bed, where she saw an alien reaching for her. She turned the light on and realized it was just a stuffed animal. Then she went to her window and saw an alien-shaped shadow on the lawn below, but when she looked again, Harold walked into the light and tried to talk to her. Chrissy's father called the police and Harold was arrested.
8. When interrogating Harold, what did Detective Manners say Harold had been abducted by?

Answer: hormones

Harold insisted that he'd been abducted and volunteered to take a lie-detector test to prove it. Manners barked back, "I don't need no lie detector to tell me the only thing you were abducted by were your rampaging hormones, you punk."
9. When the police hypnotized Chrissy for the first time, where did she say she was?

Answer: on a spaceship

She described herself as being on a spaceship surrounded by aliens. She could see them talking amongst themselves, but could only understand the one sitting in front of her (the hypnotist).
10. How did Chung describe Det. Manners' language?

Answer: colorful

After Chrissy's hypnosis, Manners stormed in, saying "Well, thanks a lot. You really bleeped up this case." Scully paused in her story to clarify for Chung that Manners hadn't actually said "bleeped" but Chung interrupted her, assuring her that he was "familiar with Detective Manners' colorful phraseology." Apparently, the character was named after director Kim Manners, who reputedly used colorful phrasing around the set (thanks to TVTome.com for that info).
