The agents hadn't been able to find the firearms, but they arrested Ephesian and the wives for almost killing themselves with poison. Of course, the charges were weak and wouldn't give the agents much time to question the cultists.

Answer: Harry Truman

Truman was president from 1945-53, at the beginning of the Cold War. When the agents were trying to determine who they were talking to, Sidney quipped, "What is this? The McCarthy hearings?" When Sidney had originally called the BATF agents to tip them off on the weapons at the compound, she'd mentioned that "you could beat the whole Korean army" with the weapons they had stockpiled. Mulder believed that Sidney was one of Melissa's past lives.

Scully tried to ask Lily if any of her friends were hurt in the children's playroom, but Lily wouldn't answer. When Scully persisted, Lily gave way to Sidney.

The agents followed Melissa out to the field and asked her about the other bunkers. Melissa started talking about being a nurse in the Civil War, as the Confederate soldiers hid weapons in a bunker. On the 26th of November, 1863, she'd hid in a bunker as all the soldiers on the field above had been killed. Melissa then turned to Mulder and said, "I was here.

As were you. This is the field where I watched you die."

When Mulder spoke to Melissa in the session, Melissa opened her eyes and looked at him, saying, "Your eyes may have changed shade, but it cannot color the soul behind them. We have come together in this life, this time. Only to meet in passing. It is so heartbreaking to wait. I miss you." That was all the agents could get out of Melissa and her personalities, so Mulder decided to undergo hypnotherapy as well.

During his hypnotherapy session, Mulder described two past lives. The first was during Nazi Germany, when he was a Polish Jewish woman and Samantha was his son. Scully was his father, "dead in the street," and the Cigarette-Smoking Man was a Gestapo agent standing next to his body. Mulder commented that "evil returns as evil." Melissa was Mulder's husband, taken away from him to a concentration camp.

The second life was the Civil War field, where Scully was Mulder's dead sergeant. Mulder recounted being held by Melissa, in her life as Sarah Kavanaugh.

He said that she was sad and that she didn't know that he was waiting for her in another life.

Answer: "that Flukeman thing"

Scully initially answered, "Even if I knew for certain, I wouldn't change a day." Then, on her way out of the office, she stopped at the door and revised her statement: "Well, maybe that Flukeman thing. I could've lived without that just fine." This seems to be a reference to season two's "The Host".

The Flukeman in that episode was played by Darin Morgan, whose brother, Glen Morgan, co-wrote "The Field Where I Died".
