Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which agent pulled his/her gun on Teager at the rally?

Answer: Mulder

Teager was heading right toward Mulder, so he pulled his gun on him. As Mulder watched, though, Teager's image glimmered and disappeared completely!
2. What card did General MacDougal find in his limo?

Answer: King of Hearts

On the back of the card was a skull and crossed bloody sabers. When he looked up, MacDougal found Teager sitting across from him in the limo. Teager raised a gun and shot MacDougal in the forehead at "extreme close range."
3. What was the name of the radical paramilitary group headed by Denny Markham?

Answer: The Right Hand

MacDougal's driver had had "possible ties" to the group, so he was originally suspected in the murder. The group was also investigated, and particularly Markham himself.
4. What military group had Teager belonged to?

Answer: Green Berets

Markham informed Scully and Mulder that Teager "belonged to Green Beret detachment B-11: the squad known as the 'Bloody Sabers.' In 1971, the B-11 was being transported in country when their chopper was shot down. There were no survivors." Markham then explained that the photo he had of himself and Teager was taken 24 years after that when The Right Hand "liberated him from a POW camp."
5. What did Teager give to Renee Davenport?

Answer: dog tags

Teager approached Mrs. Davenport at the Vietnam War Memorial and confirmed that she was the wife of Gary Davenport. Then Teager told her that her husband remained a prisoner of war and handed her Davenport's dog tags. She was shocked to see them, but when she looked up to further question Teager, he was gone.
6. How was General Steffan connected to Teager?

Answer: Steffan signed Teager's death certificate.

The death certificate had been signed despite inconclusive evidence. Teager was targeting Steffan because he had contributed to the cover-up that left Teager in the POW camp.
7. Where did Mulder meet Marita Covarrubias?

Answer: Lincoln Memorial

Mulder went to her for answers regarding the American POWs. She said she didn't have any information, but asked what he knew. He told her that he was a POW returned home to carry out "death sentences against the men that left him in Vietnam." She implied that the American government was using Teager to get rid of the three men who were testifying about government spies disavowed by the government and "left behind enemy lines to certain capture and death" in Vietnam.
8. What did Teager give Leo Danzinger?

Answer: list of names

Danzinger saw Teager at the rally and followed him into a side area where they spoke for a few minutes. Danzinger was clearly amazed, having believed Teager dead, and told Teager that the war was long over. Teager replied, "Not for me. Not for the others." When Danzinger asked if there were more, Teager handed him a folded piece of paper. Danzinger opened it and saw a list of names and military ID numbers, but when he looked up, Teager was gone.
9. Did Teager die?

Answer: yes

Teager had waited in General Bloch's limo to shoot him, but Mulder figured it out before Bloch got in. There was a brief shoot-out, and then Teager got behind the wheel and crashed the car into a barrier. As Teager lay on the ground dying, he repeated his military information over and over: "Teager, Nathaniel J. Sergeant, Green Beret detachment B-11. Service number 82278. Date of birth: March 7, 1952."
10. Did the conspiracy regarding the POWs make it into the press?

Answer: no

By the next day, the Pentagon had created a new web of lies, claiming that the man who was killed the previous night "was a Thomas Lynch. He's a vet who's been in and out of VA psychiatric hospitals for the last 15 years." Mulder protested, saying that "they're covering the lies with more lies, trying to make him invisible." Skinner told him that the investigation was out of their hands, though, and there was nothing more they could do.
