Mulder went to her for answers regarding the American POWs. She said she didn't have any information, but asked what he knew. He told her that he was a POW returned home to carry out "death sentences against the men that left him in Vietnam." She implied that the American government was using Teager to get rid of the three men who were testifying about government spies disavowed by the government and "left behind enemy lines to certain capture and death" in Vietnam.

Danzinger saw Teager at the rally and followed him into a side area where they spoke for a few minutes. Danzinger was clearly amazed, having believed Teager dead, and told Teager that the war was long over. Teager replied, "Not for me. Not for the others." When Danzinger asked if there were more, Teager handed him a folded piece of paper. Danzinger opened it and saw a list of names and military ID numbers, but when he looked up, Teager was gone.

Skinner told him that the investigation was out of their hands, though, and there was nothing more they could do.
