Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Hmm, we're high up in the clouds... Oh, look! A Waddle Dee! Let's eat it! Wait a moment... I'm so hungry I can't remember what button I have to press in order to inhale enemies. What button do I use?

Answer: B Button

When Kirby has something in his mouth, he will swallow it when Down is pressed on the D-Pad. If the enemy has an ability, Kirby will copy that ability and will be able to attack other enemies with it. Such abilities are Fire, Beam, and Spark. Kirby can also spit what he has in his mouth out to attack as well.
2. Oh, there's a green floaty thingy with a halo and a bow... Ow! That hurt, you mean Cupie! I'm going to eat you and destroy all your family in revenge with my new ability... uh... what was it called again?

Answer: Cupid

Cupid is an ability that originated in this game. It allows Kirby to slowly fly through the air without inhaling air and shoot arrows. How long Kirby charges it determines how fast and high it goes. If fully charged, Kirby will shoot three arrows in different arcs.

The arrows also have the ability to cut strings. The ability is known as Angel in the Japanese version, but was changed to Cupid in the translation because of a religious misconception. It is also in "Kirby Squeak Squad".
3. Hey, all four of us Kirbies are different colors... Strange, considering we were all the same Kirby before we were split up by Dark Meta Knight. But the others are acting so strangely... I suppose the heroism and the smarts only stay in the pink (no pun intended). Which of these doesn't seem to be a color of the other parts of me?

Answer: Blue

There have been many different colors of Kirbies in the games, such as White, Brown, Purple, Pink, and others. Many appear in games with multiple players, such as "Kirby Air Ride" and "Kirby's Return to Dream Land". Blue has appeared is other games, but not regularly in this one.

However, Blue, and tons of other colors can be applied to Kirby using Spray Paint in this game and in "Kirby Squeak Squad".
4. Since Dark Meta Knight split me into four of me, I might as well try to take advantage of the cellphone thingy. What button do I press to call the others?

Answer: R Button

When Kirby calls the others, they will teleport to your location. If multiple players are playing, each player can call the others. The other player(s) may decline the call. The computer-controlled Kirbies will never call you, however. Another interesting thing is that the cellphone will become a communication dish when used with the UFO ability.

The cellphone has a battery limit, though.
5. Strange how we can teleport through cellphones... ah, well. Hey, we seem to have gotten our heads out of the clouds, and now we're in a lively field. I wonder, what is the name of this vivacious area?

Answer: Rainbow Route

Rainbow Route is one of the nine areas in the game. It is the only area in the game without a boss guarding the shard of the Amazing Mirror. The main room, or the Central Circle, starts off with a portal to the next area of Rainbow Route, and more can be activated by rooms in other areas. Green Greens is the first stage of "Kirby's Dream Land", Vegetable Valley is the first area of "Kirby's Adventure", and Cookie Country is the first area of "Kirby's Return to Dream Land".
6. I'm famished... Oh, hey, an enemy; let's eat it! *gulp* Cool, now I have the Beam ability! ...What did I just eat?

Answer: Waddle Doo

A Waddle Doo is a Waddle Dee with a giant, blue eye from which it fires a beam. Beam is generally an ability accessible very early on in many Kirby games. It allows Kirby to whip an electric beam in front of him. Kirby wears an orange and red jester hat with stars on it, and sometimes fires the beam with a rod.

The beam can pass through walls. However, it is slow-moving and not very suited for intense, close-up combat. A Flamer would give you Flaming, a Sparky would give you Spark, and a Bronto Burt would give you nothing.
7. Lookie, a cherry! Uh-oh, I can't reach it. There's a yellow block with a star in the way. How am I supposed break it to get to the cherry?

Answer: Any of these

These are all ways to break normal blocks or to deal damage to enemies. Inhaling the block would also be another option. The yellow blocks are a part of almost every Kirby game. A cherry restores two bars of Kirby's vitality. Kirby can also be healed with other foods like roast spit meat or Maxim Tomatoes. Kirby can obtain extra vitality by finding them in large treasure chests.
8. A Bang-Bang. Missile ability, yay! I believe I can fly! Wait, I already could. Huh? What's that? A... black Kirby? Oh, it's Shadow Kirby. Attack! Hey, he dropped something? Well, it could drop a variety of superior items, but I don't know which of these items he cannot drop... Which one?

Answer: Cellphone Battery

Shadow Kirby is Kirby's inversion from the Mirror World. They seem to be enemies at first, but, in the end, he helps Kirby as he realizes he is trying to get rid of Dark Mind. Shadow Kirby, as protecter of the Mirror World, is trying to rid Dark Mind from the Mirror World because Dark Mind is attempting to conquer the Mirror World.

In one specific location in every of the nine areas, Shadow Kirby will appear and may or may not attack you with a random ability attack, such as breathing fire or ice. If you inhale him, Kirby may or may not get an ability, depending on if Shadow Kirby actually had an ability at the time.

When defeated, he will drop either a Super Lollipop, which makes Kirby invincible, an Extra Life, or a 1-Up, that will, hence the name, give Kirby an extra life, or a Maxim Tomato, which will fully heal Kirby's health. If not defeated or inhaled fast enough, Shadow Kirby will run away and disappear behind a wall.

In the final phase of the final battle, Shadow Kirby will give Kirby the Master ability if he lost it during the earlier phases of the fight.
9. Let's board this shiny Warpstar! Wheee! And now we seem to be at a place called Moonlight Mansion. I think I'll call the others to see how they're doing. Wait, but this phone has a battery limit. Of course, there are some extra batteries around, but... How many times can I call the others before it runs out of power?

Answer: Three

The battery limit can be seen in the top left corner of the screen. It is obtained at the end of the introductory stage at the beginning of the game. If Kirby is attempting to make a call but presses B or is hit by an enemy during the call, the call will be stopped and the battery will be wasted. Food may also come if the other Kirbies come.

The Warpstar feature does not use a battery, and can be used as many times as liked.
10. I wonder what this button does... the instructions say "Hold it to start over." Don't know what that exactly means... Well, let's find out! Uh-oh, there's a Warpstar coming this way! Ow! Oof! Well... where did that thing carry me?

Answer: To the main room of the first area (Central Circle)

The main room of the first area, also known as the Central Circle, is the room that can have mirror portals to other areas when activated from the other area. Unlike calling the other Kirbies, calling the Warpstar requires no battery. The instructions "Hold L to start over." are given when Kirby first receives the cellphone.
