Call of Duty Trivia Quiz

Well, I played through "Call of Duty 2" and decided to find the original and see what the roots of the series were like. "Call of Duty" is for the PC. No knowledge of the expansion, "United Offense", is necessary.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which countries are featured in "Call of Duty"?

Answer: America, France, Germany, and Russia

These are the primary countries you'll be fighting in throughout the game. In the American campaign, your training mission is in America, and the rest is in France. The British fight in France and Germany, mostly, and the Russians get to fight in their home country, except for the last mission.

There is also a pair of missions set in Belgium, and the final British mission is set on a battleship near Troms (Norway).
2. What is the name of the player character for the American campaign?

Answer: Martin

Many of your fellow soldiers will yell at one another to perform certain tasks, and sometimes they'll call out to you. It's a good idea to know your player name so you don't miss anything important.
3. In the penultimate American mission, you have to infiltrate a German held chateau to rescue who?

Answer: Captain Price

First, in this mission, you're to find any documents (which are located at the end of a long series of hallways and rooms), which is nothing new. Then you have to find the secret room and gain access to the basement levels of the chateau, where you'll find Captain Price and an empty cell where Major Ingram should have been (you'll rescue him in the next mission, though). Captain Price is one of the invincible characters who accompanies you in most British missions.
4. What is the name of the British rifle?

Answer: Lee-Enfield

This weapon is slow, but accurate and quite powerful. It's perfect for taking out difficult-to-hit enemies when advancing on their positions, such as the Pegasus Bridge. It can hold more rounds than any other rifle, with the exception of the American Carbine (but it's power is significantly weaker). It's a shame you never get to use a scoped version.
5. What is the name of the battleship you board and sabotage in the British Campaign?

Answer: Tirpitz

You start off in a small boat and approach the large ship. Captain Price talks to the Germans and gains access. Once below deck at the armory he pulls out a pistol and eliminates the two crewmen. You arm yourselves and set to work. Price will run off to do his own thing and leave you to deal with the horde of enemies on your own.

When you get back to the boat, captained by Sergeant Waters, he'll inform you that the Germans got Price (who you rescued in the American campaign). Tirpitz was a real ship in Nazi service in World War II.
6. What is odd about the first Russian mission?

Answer: You get no weapon

In the first Russian mission, you start on a boat and you just have to wait out the speech that you are given while crossing over to German-held Stalingrad. Once there, you get handed a few rounds, but no gun to shoot them with. So you'll just have to make do with what you've got.

The rest of the mission involves you running around while an ally sniper takes out targets hidden in broken apartment buildings.
7. As a soldier in the Russian Red Army, what is your primary role?

Answer: Sniper

In most Russian missions you use a Scoped Mosin-Nagant. The letters at the beginnig of each level normally refer to your character as a sniper. You are normally tasked with shooting out machine gunners hidden in old apartment windows, artillery crews, or other enemy riflemen trying to shoot your allies. THe nice thing about the Scoped Mosin-Nagant is that you can load five rounds into it at a time, unlike the Springfield and Scoped Kark98 which could oly be loaded one round at a time.
8. In the fourth campaign, what is it you're trying to disable?

Answer: V2 Rockets

It's quite a trek to the German base, with quite a few objectives to complete on your way there. Once you get to the German base, you have to load the V2 rockets with fuel, because the explosives you have aren't strong enough on their own. Then just set the charges and leave. V2 Rockets were early missiles invented in late World War II by German scientists.

They were not very effective, but were the predecessors to many modern missiles, and rockets that eventually led to putting man on the moon.
9. In each of the primary campaigns there is a mission in which you ride a vehicle. Which do you not get to ride in?

Answer: American Higgins Boat

In the American campaign you ride in a stolen French car which you have to shoot out of while Moody drives. In the British campaign, Price drives a stolen lorry (truck), out of which you shoot down German motorbikes, motorcars, and other lorries. In the Russian campaign, you actually get to drive a tank, and use its canons at the same time.
10. The game advertises four campaigns. Who do you play as in the fourth campaign?

Answer: All Three

The final campaign has three missions, one for each faction. The first two are for American and British forces in Belgium. The third mission, which is also the last mission of the game, is the Russian invasion of Berlin. Once you've beaten that, you can sit back and enjoy the credits while watching an amusing little animation.
