Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. While such a large map would seem to make for very slow gameplay, a gameplay mechanic frequently referred to as "the circle" or "the storm" helps to mitigate this and eventually force fast paced gameplay. What exactly does this mechanic do?

Answer: Progressively make the playable area smaller

The circle, as it is most commonly referred to, surrounds the Safe Zone. Leaving the Safe Zone will cause the player to take quick damage, be disoriented and unable to use their weapons, and have reduced movement speed. Every few minutes, the Safe Zone becomes smaller, forcing the player to move to remain inside of it, thus making conflict with other players likelier as the Safe Zone grows smaller and smaller.
2. The most popular mode within the game has been the no-holds-barred Battle Royale mode. What is the objective in Battle Royale?

Answer: Be the last team surviving

Many different viable strategies can be employed to attain this, and they will also vary depending on how many players a team is made up of. There are solo categories, duos, trios and quads, which can change the dynamic of the game quite a lot.
3. In Battle Royale, if the player's operator dies, their game isn't over yet. How many different ways are there for them to return to the playable area?

Answer: Three

A player on their team could spend $4,000 to "buy them back", allowing them to redeploy and join back up with their team. A player left in the playable area could also obtain a "Most Wanted" contract, a challenge which marks their position on the map to enemies all around the game for three minutes and rewards the player if they survive the three minutes. One of said rewards is a "Team Revive" which allows all fallen teammates to immediately redeploy, free of charge. Finally, the fallen player in question enters the Gulag on their first death.

Here, they will square off against another player, both sides given the same random weapon, and whoever wins that particular conflict gets to return to the field of play. The lower will have to hope their team can get them back somehow. If the player redeploys and is again slain, the Gulag will not be available to them anymore.
4. The "Rebirth Resurgence" mode allows two different ways for a team to get a fallen ally back to the field. One of them is to spend money "buying them back". What is the other way a team can return a fallen ally to the field?

Answer: Surviving for a set period of time

The niche in Rebirth Resurgence is that, until very late in the game, as long as the team has one surviving member, anyone who fell will return to play no later than 30 seconds after they were slain. The only way a team will be defeated entirely is if everyone has been killed simultaneously, resulting in a "Team Wipe" and the end of the game for that team.
5. One constant mode found within the game is called "Plunder". What is the objective here?

Answer: Loot as much money as possible

Simply put, the team with the most collective money at the end of the game wins. The longest a game can last is 30 minutes, but the timer will immediately be cut down to two and a half if any team hits one million dollars. This will prompt "Overtime", where all cash earnings are doubled and hostile attack choppers spawn to attack every team on the map.
6. One possible Contract a team could complete is arguably the most appealing and common one- Bounty. When selecting a Bounty contract, what happens?

Answer: A random enemy player is marked on the map, and the game pays the player to go kill them

The player selected will be at random, and appear as a big yellow bullseye on the player's mini map. They will have three minutes from accepting the bounty to kill their target. If they do, they will receive a sizable amount of cash and a temporary discount from Buy Stations. If another player who did not accept the bounty kills the player's bounty target, the contractor will be granted half the money on the bounty, half the experience points and no discount from the Buy Station, but it will still count as a completed Contract.
7. In the context of the game, what is "The Bertha"?

Answer: A truck

The Bertha is the slowest but tankiest vehicle in the game. It is notably the only vehicle which can survive being blasted by a rocket launcher of any kind, C4, a grenade of any sort or any individual explosive in general. A player lacking a trophy system to protect themselves from these tactics used by enemies may wish to use the safer option, should it be available, in the Bertha.
8. While there are some cases where traveling underwater might be a good idea for sneaking up on the enemy, this is sadly not the case. Why is this?

Answer: Bodies of water will instantly kill a player on contact

This frequently comes up in Rebirth Resurgence- making contact with a body of water for so much as a nanosecond will cause the player to instantly die and be forced off the playable area. This will happen in any mode throughout the entire game.
9. The player will begin any game except for one played in the Plunder mode armed with nothing but a fairly meager pistol. This is clearly not a good idea for long, and the player must endeavor to get a better weapon setup. How many different ways are there to do this?

Answer: Three

The player may acquire a Loadout drop, granting them a loadout with two weapons predetermined of their choice. A player may also find weapons lying on the ground as they move throughout the map. Finally, the player may also loot Drop Boxes and potentially find weapons inside of them.
10. There are many different 'operators' the user can select as playable characters in the game. What is the key, single difference between each individual operator?

Answer: Their appearance

Simply put, operators are merely skins, and the player is not advantaged or hindered in any way regardless of who they select. Each operator comes with their own unique 'skins', so a player could easily select whatever appeals to them the most and freely roll with it.
