Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Introduced in the Season 2 Cold War Battle Pass, this assault rifle is ironically not good from "far" away, but deals considerable amounts of damage and is lethal up close.

Answer: FARA-83

The FARA-83 boasts 45 round clips and has well above average Firepower for its class. Right as soon as it hit the game, its presence was felt as one of the best ARs in the game.
2. This SMG is infamous for how amazing it is the smaller and smaller the circle gets, and having one of these "Modern Warfare" weapons is basically an automatic win in the last circle, on account of how massive its clip sizes are and how little its recoil is.

Answer: MP7

The MP7's base clip size (60) is only beaten by the Bullfrog, and its accuracy is second to none amongst the SMG competition. It's damage drop off at a distance is massive, though, so it doesn't truly shine until the circle is small.
3. A late addition in the Cold War Season 1, this shotgun has huge clips, but its horrific reload speed can make engaging big groups daunting.

Answer: Streetsweeper

Despite being labeled as much, the Streetsweeper is ironically poor at dealing with more than one enemy at a time. Its damage output is subpar and its reload speed is horrible. This is offset by a high fire rate, accompanied by a slightly above average range that lets it fare decently against weapons without particularly high damage output.

It cannot keep up a particularly lengthy gunfight due to its abysmal reload speed, so the player must be able to close out a fight quickly, then find a safe space to spend time reloading, in order to make effective use of it.
4. This World War II relic is quite popular and was the first WWII rifle in the game.

Answer: Kar-98K

The Karabiner 98-Kalibur, Kar-98K for short, is unique in that it is definitely not optimally used the same way as other rifles in the Tactical Rifle class. Attempting to use this thing at a moderate or close range will result in poor results, due to its horrible fire rate and merely average damage output. Thus it is best to use the Kar-98K as if it were a typical sniper rifle, a role it performs adequately in.
5. Last seen all the way back in the very first "Black Ops", this "Cold War" LMG is a decent pick for a player who wants to maintain a presence in a longer fight, or one who is attempting to lay down suppressive fire on an enemy to support a teammate.

Answer: Stoner-63

The Stoner-63 has the highest fire rate out of all LMGs with the exception of the pitifully useless MG-34. Its clip sizes are good, and its reload speed and mobility are just as poor as the rest of the class. It can't hope to compete with enemies wielding sniper rifles from far away, but it can be quite adequate in most other scenarios.

It's hip fire accuracy is notably quite good for its class, which can be key in close quarters engagements.
6. Once infamous for being by far and away the best weapon in all of "Modern Warfare", this since-nerfed double-barrelled shotgun closely aesthetically resembles the Olympia, with the only difference being the type of shotgun shells it fires.

Answer: 725

The 725 being double-barrelled was already a disadvantage, but it's middling damage output is a death sentence in "Warzone"- it cannot kill a fully shielded player in two hits, thus basically forfeiting any fight in which the opponent is fully armored. Being fully armored is basically an automatic for any game lasting longer than two minutes, rendering the 725 wholly unviable and useless, by far the worst shotgun in the game and potentially the worst weapon, period, as well.

Its good accuracy and fire rate can at least make it okay in Gulag fights, which are very quick and feature both players being unshielded.
7. One of many unique, impractical but funny melee weapons found in Cold War Season 1.

Answer: The Sledgehammer

The Sledgehammer is clearly meme worthy, and is never worth using in any "Warzone" game when the objective is to perform at an adequate level. Still, actually killing someone with this could make for one funny highlight video, so there are players who will attempt to use it for this reason.
8. The only weapon in the game which will always kill in one hit, regardless of where the shot lands.

Answer: The Crossbow

As the description states, the Crossbow is the only weapon which will always kill on a successful hit, regardless of where the shot lands. Having to reload after taking a single shot every single time, however, makes it quite risky and luck/skill reliant.

Its range is also rather poor, resulting in poor performance at any fight farther than strictly close quarters. The fact that it is a primary weapon is also a huge disadvantage, as the player would either have to cope with only supporting it with pistols/launchers or would have to expend a perk slot on Overkill to use a second primary weapon. That third fact is ultimately the biggest deterrent, resulting in the Crossbow being a relatively poor pick for a weapon.
9. The first weapon to ever be nerfed in Cold War, this submachine gun is a common sight in games across the franchise as a whole.

Answer: MP5

The MP5 has historically been a pretty bland and subpar pick for an SMG. Here, however, the MP5 was initially the best SMG in the game, and debatably the best weapon, period. About a month after the game came out, it was nerfed pretty hard, but still remained a strong choice for its well-rounded attributes, leaving the player competent and capable in most scenarios.
10. This "Modern Warfare" launcher can do it all; aircraft, ground vehicles and opponents on foot need beware of it.

Answer: JOKR

The JOKR can do it all, as far as a launcher is concerned. It can lock onto vehicles, it can free fire, it's perfectly accurate and quite lethal. It can kill a fully shielded player in one hit if the hit is direct, and can kill a player with no shields at all by just hitting them with the blast of the shot off to the side of them.

This gives it tons of utility that other launchers simply do not have.
11. Having been featured in "Black Ops II" and "Black Ops III", this assault rifle is a strong pick in this game as well.

Answer: AN-94

The AN-94 is unique for being the only assault rifle in franchise history to e both fully automatic and feature a burst rifle trait- the first two shots it fires off are both so blindlingly fast that they are seemingly fired off simultaneously, while the rifle itself mains a firm, accurate stance. This makes the AN-94 a very worthy pick in all scenarios, as one of the game's best ARs.
12. As a tactical rifle, this weapon is likely to be your type of gun if you like that class.

Answer: Type 63

The Type 63 has relatively unimpressive fire rate and average damage output, but its niche is being incredibly light. This makes it sprint-to-fire time significantly faster than the competition, making it better in close quarters than other tactical rifles.

It does suffer at longer ranges, which is where tactical rifles are meant to shine, and is thus generally viewed as an inferior pick to the DMR, AUG and M16.
13. "Modern Warfare" swung for the fences with this strangely heavy SMG and struck out.

Answer: Striker-45

The Striker-45 is just all sorts of pathetic. It's damage output is poor, it's fire rate is bad, it's clip sizes are nothing special, and it is the heaviest SMG in the game, causing its hip fire and sprint to Fire times to suffer, key components in succeeding in close quarter situations SMGs are supposed to shine in. Anyone actually found using it is either immensely ignorant, trying to painfully level it up, or trying to be a poor sport by winning with a bad weapon to flex on lower skill players.
14. Colloquially referred to as "The Thumper", a grenade launcher that hadn't been seen since "Modern Warfare II" made its return to "Cold War".

Answer: M79

This break action grenade launcher is the only one of its kind to be light and effective for players who like to stay on the move. This sadly comes at the cost of being useless against aerial vehicles, but the advantage of closing out fights with a trump card that can deal immense amounts of damage in one burst can pay off with skillful use.
15. A WWII era machine gun, this one probably should've stayed left behind in the past instead of featured in "Modern Warfare".

Answer: MG-34

The MG-34 is simply an awful LMG, worst of its class. It's accuracy is astonishingly poor, it's damage output is low, and its massive fire rate, highest in its class, does not compensate for these problems.
