Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What are the three countries that have campaigns in the game?

Answer: America, England and Russia

The game designers used the most well known Allied countries as playable. Others, like Canada and Australia, would also have made interesting campaigns.
2. In the American campaign, what is the name of the Captain who is with you on every mission?

Answer: Captain Foley

There is a Sergeant Moody who accompanies you on several missions, but Foley is always there. If you are thinking "He's not in the 'Pathfinder' mission, is he?" He is right at the end, as you go into the trench.
3. In the 'Chateau' mission, when you are in the basement, Foley and Moody blow the doors with explosives. Looking directly at the doors as they plant the explosives, what side does Foley run to when he's finished?

Answer: Left

He runs back towards you and swings into cover behind the wooden doors. It's excellent the way your Allies make use of cover like they would in real life.
4. In the mission 'Burnville', there is a dead paratrooper hanging from the church spire.

Answer: True

I read somewhere that in real life, one paratrooper from the 101st Airborne landed on the church spire in St Mere Eglise, and managed to take out an enemy machine gun set up in the spire. Good job!
5. In the 'Stalingrad' mission where you land at the docks, the officer with the radio shouts that "That damn ... is coming back for another run! Open fire!" The what does he say is coming back?

Answer: Stuka

The Stuka was a German dive bomber. Its real name was the Ju-87. A BF109 was the main German fighter in the war. An IL2 was a Russian ground attack aircraft, known as the Sturmovik. The Me-262 was the German twin engined jet fighter that was used to shoot down American B-17 formations. The only problem was that by the time it came into active service, the war was all but over!
6. In the British campaign, the first two missions are based around 'Pegasus Bridge'. Did this bridge actually exist?

Answer: Yes

In a book I have about D-Day, there is a picture of the real Pegasus Bridge, and it looks exactly the same as in 'Call Of Duty', even down to the barriers across the road. Also, if you look at the map on the briefing, it says that the bridge is in Benouiville. This is the actual location also.
7. In multiplayer, which map is not in the single player game at all?

Answer: Carentan

All the other maps are in the single player game, even if they have made them smaller and blocked some areas off for multiplayer.
8. Staying in multiplayer, in the map Pavlov, if you play Search and Destroy, what are the targets for destruction?

Answer: Anti tank rifles

This is the only multiplayer map where the Allies have to defend in Search and Destroy.
9. What is the name of the gun that is side loading and has a scope?

Answer: Fg42

This is my favourite gun. It has the power and distance of a rifle, and the rapid fire assault capabilities of a sub-machine gun. Snipe one enemy, then rapid fire to kill the next! Great!
10. In the British level where you are waiting for your squad to steal a plane and you have to hold off Stukas, what type of plane are they stealing?

Answer: FW-200 Condor

The Condor was a German transport plane. It says this is the plane on the briefing. The C-47 was the military version of the civilian DC-3. The Me-323 was a huge German glider that could be fitted with six engines to fly under its own power, when it was re-designated the Me-326.

The Bi-1 was an experimental Russian single seat rocket interceptor. Three were made, one exploded on a test flight, and none were ever used in combat.
