Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. If you select "All Music" from the difficulty selection menu, how many Extra Stage songs are there, and what are they?

Answer: Two, "Fascination ~Eternal Love Mix~" and "Fascination MAXX"

In the unpatched version, there was indeed only one Extra Stage song avalible to select, and it was "Fascination MAXX." When the sync patch was applied, it added "Fascination ~Eternal Love Mix~" to the list.
2. There are two ways to earn "Healing ~D~ Vision" as your Extra Stage, and one of the ways is listed below. What do you do to earn it?

Answer: Select "Difficult" from the difficulty selection menu, and AA your Final Stage on Expert

Extra Stage was introduced in "Dance Dance Revolution MAX" (6th Mix). I have seen MANY a person with the wrong information about earning "Healing ~D~ Vision" try to earn it, and not understand why they didn't get it. Some people select "All Music" and try to AA a Final Stage on Difficult, etc. One way to earn it is to be on the Difficult song wheel, and AA your Final Stage on Expert, and the other way is to be on the "Easy" song wheel, and AA your Final Stage on Expert.
3. What is the One More Extra Stage song?

Answer: "Chaos"

"Chaos" has a very simple stepchart in terms of the number of steps in the song, especially for a 10 footer. However, on One More Extra Stage (aka OMES), there is a mod enabled called "Instant Death." Instant Death means that if you fail to hit every arrow with the "Perfect" or "Great" rating, or fail to hold a freeze arrow until you recieve the "O.K." rating, you will instantly fail.
4. What are the modifiers active on Extra Stage?

Answer: 1.5x, Reverse, Rainbow, No Recover

Following in the path of Extreme, the Extra Stage modifiers remain nearly the same from the previous mix; 1.5x, Reverse, and No Recover are still the Extra Stage mods, with the addition of Rainbow. Although many experienced players claim to have no problem with the most difficult steps, many of them falter with the "Reverse" and "No Recover" modifiers. Reverse makes the arrows flow from top to bottom instead of bottom to top, which takes quite a bit of time to learn how to read effectively.

The No Recover modifier starts you out with a full life bar, but should you fail to hit a step with the "Perfect," "Great," or "Good" rating, or release a Freeze arrow too early, your life bar will decrease as it would in normal gameplay, with the exception that you cannot earn back the portion you have lost, allowing for very few misses before you ultimately fail the song.
5. Which console mix did the song "Max 300 -Super Max Me Mix-" first appear in?

Answer: "Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2"

Even though "Max 300 -Super Max Me Mix-" has appeared in "Dance Dance Revolution STR!KE" and "Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA," it first appeared in "Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2." It was an Xbox 1 title, and exclusive to the Xbox.
6. If the numbers in the artist name 100-200-400 (The artist behind the song "Fascination MAXX") changed according to the speed the arrows scrolled at with the Extra Stage speed modifier enabled, what would the numbers change to? (NOTE: The numbers represent the BPM of the song.)

Answer: 150-300-600

100 x 1.5 = 150, 200 x 1.5 = 300, and 400 x 1.5 = 600. As you may recall from an earlier question, the Extra Stage speed modifier is 1.5x the normal rate of speed.
7. If you were to play the song "Xepher" on Challenge, what foot difficulty would the song have?

Answer: 10

Xepher has a foot difficulty of 10 on Challenge, although many feel that the song is somewhat easy compared to most 10s in the game. People who didn't like the difficulty of it went and took an MP3, and made their own steps for the song in the DDR simulator called "Stepmania".
8. There is a new DJ Amuro song in "Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA".

Answer: True

The new song is "AA", a seqel of sorts to fan favorite "A". DJ Amuro first appeared in "Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME" (8th mix).
9. Select the correct answer to fill in the blank: The author of the song "Brilliant R.E.D." is Naoki feat. _________.

Answer: Tahirih Walker

"Brillant R.E.D." first appeared in "Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3" for the Xbox, and it was by Naoki feat. Tahirih Walker. A large majority of songs that appear in the series are by the song artist Naoki Maeda, but released under one of his multitude of aliases.
10. There is a new version of "AM-3P" avalible in this mix that wasn't avalible in previous mixes.

Answer: False

Although a new mix of "AM-3P" would be awesome, there are still only 3 versions of it avalible for play as of 2006. They are "AM-3P," "AM-3P (AM EAST Mix)," and "AM-3P 303 Bass Mix." Every song was by the artist "KTZ".
