Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the character present at all Stellar Joints?

Answer: Pix

Pix appears at all Stellar Joints and appears in a different colored outfit in each one. For some Stellar Joint trials, the player must complete a song with Pix dancing in the background. Many "Dance Dance Revolution" fans are upset about this type of requirement because the player cannot choose who is dancing in the background in these trials; the character is randomly selected (see www.ddrfreak.com for more discussion on this).

Therefore, completing these trials revolves around luck.
2. How many VIP cards can a player earn at the Stellar Joint Twin Hearts?

Answer: 3

Players can earn three VIP cards at each Stellar Joint, some of which unlock songs or other bonuses in the shop. VIP cards are earned by playing showdowns at each Stellar Joint. These showdowns are comprised of a number of drills. For example, to earn the Diamond EX VIP card at the Uguisu Stellar Joint, the player must successfully complete four out of five drills.
3. What is the name of the first Stellar Joint in "DDR Supernova" (not counting "Tutorial")?

Answer: Popcorn

Red Dolphin is Stellar Joint number four. Velocity is number five. Pizza Box, unlocked after fully completing the previous ten Stellar Joints, is number eleven.
4. Which of these songs does not appear in Glow, the second Stellar Joint?

Answer: Healing D-Vision

Although it does not appear in Glow, "Healing D-Vision" does appear in Nitro and The Last, the ninth and tenth Stellar Joints respectively. As players progress through the Stellar Joints, the songs generally get harder. "Healing D-Vision", considered a boss song, is much more difficult than the songs in the second Stellar Joint, rating at seven feet on Basic mode up to ten feet on Challenge mode.
5. Which of these actions will not raise a player's Charisma rating?

Answer: Getting a VIP card

Charisma is a measurement of the percentage of visible trials the player completes in the first ten Stellar Joints. Completing hidden trials and trials in Pizza Box allow a player's Charisma to rise over 100 percent. Getting a VIP card, while it does not give a player Charisma points, is denoted on the Stellar Master Mode map by rings around the Stellar Joint planets.
6. Of the first ten Stellar Joints, within how many can one choose the song "Xepher"?

Answer: 1

"Xepher" is the easiest song in the Stellar Joint "The Last" based on its foot rating. With it appear four of the red songs of the game. "The Last" is referred to as the "Ultimate Stellar Joint" at the top of the Trial screen.
7. Modifiers are necessary to complete some Stellar Joint trials.

Answer: True

Certain trials require the player to go through songs at Speed (x5), for example. Others helpfully require that "Cut" be turned on; this option gets rid of all non-quarter note steps. Some are devastating, such as Appearance (Hidden) on Expert mode, where arrows disappear before they reach the judgment panel, or even Appearance (Stealth), where arrows do not appear at all. On the other hand, some trials do not allow modifiers.
8. The player is introduced to a new background in the Pizza Box Stellar Joint. The dancer dances on a pizza in a pizza box! How original! What is the phrase that appears below "DDR Pizza" on the box?

Answer: It's good for you and it is good tasting

In this stage, Pix dances in the center of a pizza in an opened pizza box. The lid of the box forms the rear of the stage and speakers are visible on the lid. For 20000 points, the player can buy the Pizza Box stage for use in Game Mode once the stage is unlocked.
9. Certain trials require a player to get a AA or higher rating on certain songs. What is the requirement for getting AA?

Answer: Getting above a certain score only

Getting all "Perfect!" ratings results in a AAA, not a AA. Doing a full combo was a requirement for a AA rating on "Dance Dance Revolution Extremes" 1 and 2. This requirement was lifted for "Dance Dance Revolution Supernova", but the score cutoff for a AA is higher than before.
10. Which is the first Stellar Joint to introduce a red song?

Answer: Pieria

In Pieria, certain showdown drills require the player to complete "Max 300 Super Max-Me-Mix" with the Speed (x1.5) and Reverse modifiers. It is not a requirement to beat this song to get the VIP card, however, because the player needs only complete a certain predetermined number of drills to pass.

This is always less than the number of drills available. Despite the name of the song, the arrows scroll here at a speed of 320 beats per minute.
