Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these items allows a killer to remove a Survivor from the game outright, without sacrificing them to the Entity?

Answer: Mori

A consumable item that can be used by any Killer provided they access it from their Bloodweb, a Mori is used to allow the Killer a bit of a concession. Instead of sacrificing the Survivors to the Entity via the hooks, they can kill them outright via their method of choice.

It results in fewer points, but it does add some variety to the game, providing an element that should keep Survivors on their toes. Some Moris used to allow the Killer to kill a Survivor without needing to hook them, some have been situational, relying on the amount of Survivors in the game or how many times they've already been hooked.
2. Can basement hooks be destroyed?

Answer: No

Basement hooks are eternal, and it's with good reason. Back in earlier versions of the game, hooks throughout the level could be sabotaged at rapid speeds by Survivors with the necessary items, but basement hooks represented a bastion for Killers. In addition to being an out-of-the-way corner of the map, the basement could serve to potentially hold all Survivors at one time.

In fact, versions of the game came with an achievement for basement-hooking three people at one time. These hooks could also be reused at will, even if a Survivor was sacrificed on one of them.
3. Only one more generator needs to be completed and there are three Survivors still remaining in the game. Which of these must present on the map?

Answer: A hatch

Although the hatch has been a lasting element of the game for many years, its appearance has varied. A hatch will always appear on the map if there are three Survivors on the map and only one generator must be completed, if there are two Survivors and two generators must be completed, or if there is one Survivor and three generators must be completed. If exit gates are available to be worked on, the hatch will also appear. That said, the hatch must still be opened in many of these instances, so having a necessary item (a key) could make or break your chances at escape, and even if a hatch opens, a Killer could swoop in and shut it.
4. Which of these will not (by default) create a visual cue for the Killer when a Survivor performs an action?

Answer: Opening and closing a chest

Stealth is a major element of "Dead by Daylight" and it's made all the more imperative because Killers are finely attuned to hearing harsh noises. While the other incorrect options will create an audible and visual cue no matter where the Killer is on the map, opening and closing a chest will not. Killers can, however, listen closely to hear the tell-tale signs of someone performing this action in the same way that they can also hear a totem being disassembled or the movement of thick grass. Some sounds are simply louder than others.
5. Your Survivor is exposed. This means which of the following?

Answer: They can be brought to the dying state in one hit

There are a number of was to receive this status effect. In addition to some Killers using weapons or perks or abilities that will automatically down Survivors, exposure can be attained through other unique means. While some of these means could imply that a Survivor is within line of sight of the player, no Killer requires that line of sight be maintained at all times.

The Ghost and The Shape, for instance, use line of sight and charged abilities to inflict Exposed on Survivors as part of their general gimmicks.
6. Killers often make use of visual clues to hunt down Survivors. Which of these, besides scratch marks, can often help locate a Survivor?

Answer: Blood

All Survivors also need to be aware that the Entity is not on their side. To help Killers locate careless Survivors, the Entity will show scratch marks behind tracks where Survivors run, giving a hot trail to follow. While some Survivor perks will mitigate this, it's much harder to staunch blood flow from an open wound. If a Killer strikes a Survivor, the Survivor will begin bleeding, and that trail can also help a Killer hone in.

The Bleeding status effect also contributes to making this a concern for unsafe players.
7. Which of these, brought forth by the Entity, often lurk around map edges and create noise if provoked by movement?

Answer: Crows

Crows can be nuisances, but some players probably won't even pay attention to them. Crows often lurk at map edges, creating visual and audible clues for the Killer to track if Survivors try to skirt the perimeter to dodge any risk from deeper into a stage. That said, crows also appear at key points in certain stages. Visitors to The Pale Rose and The Grim Pantry in the Backwater Swamp will likely discover the 'crow-bomb' locations, which trigger a cloud of crows when anyone walks within range of their roost.

There are, of course, perks to make these birds more noticeable to the Killer and others to mitigate Survivor influence on these pesky creatures.
8. Which of these, when dropped on a Killer, can stun them temporarily?

Answer: Pallet

The reason I note that pallets *can* stun Killers temporarily is because some Killers aren't so phased by these loose boards scattered around maps. Killers with chainsaws, for instance, can break pallets instantly if they have their chainsaw running while others with the Spirit Fury perk can get the Entity's help to break things to pieces. Pallets can be useful though.

In addition to causing a short stun on an unexpecting Killer, it can create a vault for a Survivor, blocking them from a hit if they time it right.

Then again, some Killers already factor that in (I'm looking at The Legion).
9. Which of these does not generally generate a skill check?

Answer: Working on a Hex Totem

You may note that all of these actions are Survivor-based. Well, that's because generally, Killers don't need to worry about intricate checks beyond their own abilities. You never expected to LIVE by Daylight, did you?
Working on a totem of any sort will not generate a skill check, but some could give notifications to Killers, especially if they contain a hex. The other options actively involve well-timed skill checks that can be made more difficult by Survivor and Killer add-ons.
10. Which Killer is linked to the teachable perk 'Barbecue and Chilli'?

Answer: The Cannibal

Just like Survivors, Killers receive three teachable perks each which, when unlocked, can allow you to collect them on other Killers' Bloodwebs. Barbecue and Chilli is one of those ones that tends to fall into the meta more often than not because of its ability to let a Killer locate Survivors beyond a certain range for a short time, greatly enhancing one's ability to locate their prey. That said, later perk additions in the game have mitigated its effects...but only apply if a Survivor is willing to run them. Alternatively, hiding in a locker will block the aura reading given by the perk.
