"Dead by Daylight" - Who's That Killer? Quiz

Answer: Michael Myers

Known in-game as "The Shape", Myers is the game's quintessential stealth killer. His power is "Evil Within", a power which rewards the player's ability to remain unseen, granting him strong powers for stalking the survivors.

Answer: Freddy Krueger

Known in-game as "The Nightmare", Krueger's main power is passively pulling survivors into the Dream world, where he can then royally mess with their ability to function, while strengthening himself in the process.

Answer: The Plague

The tallest killer in the game and one of the more controversial ones at that, The Plague forces survivors to play smart as she spreads her sickness via Vile Purge across the team. If a survivor wishes to remove this sickness, they'd be giving her the deadly opportunity to acquire Vile Purge, a much more immediately threatening projectile that can very easily down survivors in an instant.

Answer: Ghostface

Ghostface is similar to Michael Myers in being rewarded from playing stealthy and stalking survivors successfully. His power, "Night Shroud" conveys similar benefits, only trading away the ability to hinder an entire party in exchange for a quicker ability to hinder individual survivors with his power. Unlike Myers, however, if Ghostface is discovered whilst trying to sneak up on someone, he can be Revealed and thus lose access to his power for a period of time, whereas Michael Myers doesn't have this problem at all.

Therefore, it is better to approach trying to deal with Ghostface by finding him before he finds you, rather than Myers, where you just want to get out of his sight at all times.

Answer: Wraith

Wraith, my main whom I used to reach the glorious pinnacle of Red Ranks with, is a stealthy killer who isn't necessarily directly rewarded for being stealthy. However, should you be able to close the gap on a survivor without being seen, it will be incredibly difficult for them to avoid getting hit, which in itself is a reward for being quiet.

Answer: Leatherface

Known in-game as "The Cannibal", Leatherface is one of two chainsaw killers capable of instantly downing multiple survivors in one hit with his chainsaw.

Answer: The Clown

The Clown's power, Afterpiece Tonic, slows and disorients survivors, and is very effective at ending a chase quickly.

Answer: The Huntress

The Huntress is slower than most killers, but having a consistently available projectile usually makes up for this. She can reload her hatchets at any locker should she run out, so hiding in lockers to evade her detection is riskier than against other killers!

Answer: The Demogorgon

The Demogorgon has two functions from his power. The first is the ability to lay down portals and travel to them remotely throughout the map, unless a survivor manages to close them. The second is in his lunge, where he can quickly strike out at a survivor from mid-range.

The former lets him have a wide map presence to best pressure the opposing team with, while the latter is lethal for ending chases in wide-open fields.

Answer: The Trapper

"Here comes the Trapper! Better watch out for his traps! Here comes the Trapper! Gonna eat some ginger snaps! Trapperrrrrr! Jazz hands!"

The most iconic, and easy to play killer in the game, the Trapper's traps can injure or even down unsuspecting survivors, and can also cut off loops pretty effectively.

Answer: The Doctor

My secondary, whom helped me to reach Red Ranks, The Doctor is a simple to play killer who absolutely demolishes survivor teams whose main strategy is to evade the killer with stealth. As The Doctor can force survivors to scream and reveal their positions, hiding from him is an unviable way at combating him.

Answer: The Legion

Frank, Julie, Susie and Joey or "FJSJ" make up The Legion. Depending on the player's preference, one of these four will hunt down survivors when The Legion is selected.

Answer: The Hag

The Hag is slower than most killers, but can use her deadly power, Dark Catalyst, to make up for this. Dark Catalyst lets the hag lay down up to ten traps on the map. When a survivor walks or runs across a trap, a duplicate of The Hag will appear, and the player has a handful of seconds to get within range of said duplicate to enable The Hag to teleport to it and begin the chase.

This lets the Hag cut off loops, defend hooked survivors and even detect hiding survivors more easily.

Answer: The Hillbilly

The Hillbilly's power is simple; he revs up his chainsaw, then when done revving it, dashes in a straight line with blazing speed, immediately downing a survivor he happens to come across. This makes him amazing at cutting down survivors in an open area, and can force survivors to prematurely use pallets, desperately trying to avoid being immediately mauled down.

Answer: The Pig

The Pig is another stealthy killer, aiming to use her power to ambush and take survivors by surprise. Her power also enables her to attach Reverse Beartraps to survivors, which are placed on a timer once a generator is repaired. When the timer hits zero, the survivor is instantly killed, meaning they would have to check various Jigsaw Puzzles across the map, looking for the key to remove the trap with, and thus stopping them from helping their team and giving The Pig the opportunity to more easily pressure the other survivors.
