Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Hag
Answer: Hex: The Third Seal
Hex: The Third Seal is a perk that is rarely in the meta, and considering the Hag's other Teachable Perks (Hex: Ruin and Hex: Devour Hope), it's not surprising that this one takes a backseat. Third Seal affects the Survivor's abilities most directly, causing blindness if they're hit and preventing them from seeing auras.
At max level, all four could be afflicted. On the other hand, Ruin affects generator progression and Devour Hope affects exposure and the ability to kill.
2. The Ghost Face
Answer: I'm All Ears
One of the three Perks for the Killer from "Scream", I'm All Ears is all about awareness. Since this Killer is about obsessive focus, the Perk allows you to read the aura of nearby Survivors who make impulsive and rushed actions, allowing you to hone in. Ghost Face's other Perks, Thrilling Tremors and Furtive Chase, are all about blocking progress, reducing terror radius, and recalibrating the obsession in-game to ensure that you're the one in control.
3. The Cannibal
Answer: Franklin's Demise
This Perk, when used on a Killer, allows them to force their victim to drop their item when hit. Along with the popular Barbecue and Chilli Perk, it makes The Cannibal/Leatherface a popular Killer for Teachables. The Cannibal's third Perk, Knock Out, removes the visual indicator when a Survivor is brought down, preventing the other Survivors from having the map awareness that normally comes from a downed ally.
4. The Legion
Answer: Discordance
Legion works best when the Survivors are bunched together since their power, a Feral Frenzy, allows them to inflict deep wounds on people with swift, frequent cuts. Discordance leans into this since it highlights any generators being worked on by more than one Survivor at any given time.
This means that, tactically, a person facing Legion should know to split up. The Legion's other Perks are Mad Grit, which allows minimal cooldown on swings when attacking and holding a Survivor, and Iron Maiden, which grants Exposure to a Survivor for a short time if they leave a locker and gives an audible and visual clue to the Killer when entering it.
5. The Doctor
Answer: Overwhelming Presence
The Doctor is a menace and people should feel afraid of him due to the madness he inflicts upon them. Overwhelming Presence is a Perk that forces a frantic state since it increases consumption time for Survivors' items (up to doubling the speed at which their items deplete).
The Doctor's other Perks also lean into a feeling of Survivor helplessness; Monitor & Abuse increases the Killer's terror radius in chases (which is further enhanced by the Doctor's abilities and madness) while Overcharge makes generators harder to tackle if damaged.
6. The Shape
Answer: Save the Best For Last
The Shape is likely better known by the name Michael Myers and, as he does in the "Halloween" series, he focuses heavily on Obsessions and stalking Survivors. With Save the Best For Last, the goal is to make attempts to strike your Obsession, but not hit, instead accumulating tokens for misses. You can collect up to eight tokens for a cumulative 40% cooldown reduction on hits against everyone else. Michael's other two Perks, Play With Your Food and Dying Light, are also Obsession-reliant.
7. The Clown
Answer: Bamboozle
Bamboozle is one of the few Perks in the game which affects vaults. With it, the Entity is called upon to block a window provided the Killer steps through it, blocking it for eight seconds from further use. This, of course, helps mitigate the potential for looping when chasing Survivors.
The Clown also uses the Perks Coulrophobia and Pop Goes the Weasel, one of which affects healing progression and the other of which diminishes generator progress when certain criteria are met.
8. The Plague
Answer: Corrupt Intervention
Ever worry about immediate generator completion (gen-rushing)? Corrupt Intervention is a Perk that blocks off the three furthest generators from the Killer, typically the ones encountered first by Survivors after load-in, for up to two minutes if fully-ranked.
It leans in to the Plague's innate ability to push preventative measures; she can already cause concern if she uses her powers to infect elements on the map. Her other Perks are Infectious Fright and Dark Devotion.
9. The Trapper
Answer: Brutal Strength
The Trapper is useful for brute force, especially since his power relies heavily on tactical trap placement, strategic movement, and herding. Brutal Strength is a great utility Perk in this regard since it allows a Killer to smash pallets and damage generators quicker, enabling chases and otherwise to move along with minimal interruption.
The Trapper's other Perks, Unnerving Presence and Agitation, are similarly useful for pushing people along since the first affects people within the terror radius and the second increases speed and terror radius when carrying a Survivor.
10. The Demogorgon
Answer: Mindbreaker
Mindbreaker is the last to be unlocked of the "Stranger Things" Demogorgon Perks and it's a rough one since it gives Exhaustion to Survivors working on generators with less than half completion, affecting them for several seconds after they remove themselves from the objective (in a chase, for instance). Demogorgon's Perks lean into generators quite heavily though. Cruel Limits blocks nearby vault locations when generators are completed and Surge causes nearby generators to backfire when Survivors are downed.
Mindbreaker was changed into a general Perk in 2021 and its named switched to Fearmonger.
