Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Awakening

Acting as somewhat of a template for all Tomes, 'Tome 1 - Awakening' was a testing ground for contents and limits for subsequent events in the Archives. Because of this, many of the challenges, Killer and Survivor-side, are quite difficult, asking the player to execute very precise requirements (like hooking Survivors five times in the basement while using Agitation).

This first Tome focused on capabilities, Powers, and Perks possessed by core game characters Claudette Morel and The Trapper alongside a number of general grind challenges.
2. Reckoning

While Tome I focused solely on one Survivor and one Killer, 'Tome II - Reckoning', doubled the fun, allowing participants to work on challenges attuned to Survivors Jane Romero and David King and Killers The Spirit and The Doctor. Because of this, players effectively would have needed to be in possession of four different DLCs for "Dead by Daylight" to complete all four pages of their Tomes.

This Tome ran for the first quarter of 2020.
3. Escalation

Dividing its challenges out between Kate, Dwight, The Huntress, and The Legion, 'Tome III - Escalation', was another instance in which late-stage challenges had a pretty unique difficulty curve as an intense grind (there were twenty-four challenges on page four), especially with challenge requiring significant finesse and coordination.

In a technical sense, the Archive content provided for The Legion in this Tome was focused almost entirely on Julie, one of the four members of the group.
4. Conviction

Tome IV brought out some classic Survivors and Killers, allowing participants to test their mettle as The Wraith and The Hag on the Killer side and as Ace and Meg on the Survivor side. This time around, players could earn a Glyph charm, level by level, and advance to more difficult challenges utilizing little more than the characters' dedicated perks.

This Tome took up most of August and September of 2020.
5. Unleashed

The final Tome of 2020, Tome V, 'Unleashed', narrowed the field to a single Survivor focus, allowing players to embark on challenges that specifically focused on Nea Karlsson. This said, Killers still had a choice of two, taking paths through the challenges that involved The Blight, released alongside the Tome, and The Hillbilly. Because of the Hallowed Blight event, occurring at the same time in line with The Blight's release in Chapter 17 ('Descend Beyond'), a number of side-challenges included Survivors harvesting Visceral Cankers from harvest spots on the maps, but only during the seasonal event.
6. Divergence

Releasing in early 2021, this sixth Tome only featured two characters in its spotlight-- Survivor Yui Kimura and The Nurse (as the Killer). Of note, this was the first Tome to feature Glyphs, specifically introducing the Red Glyph as an interactive communing point. Survivors and Killers could find theirs once per match, performing an action at it to clear it out.
7. Forsaken

The seventh Tome to be released, 'Forsaken' was the first to feature a character originally from a different intellectual property, specifically Bill Overbeck from "Left 4 Dead", who entered the Fog early in "Dead by Daylight's" life. He was featured alongside The Plague.

This also meant that players could obtain rare Bill cosmetics-- something previously unseen due to the character's inherent licensing requirements. In addition, Tome VII featured Blue Glyphs for the first time, requiring that Survivors commune with them and receive Blindness or Obliviousness-- luck of the draw.
8. Deliverance

The first Tome to feature The Clown and Jake Park, Tome VIII appeared in mid-to-late 2021, bringing with it the introduction of the Yellow Glyph, a communing point at which Survivors needed to complete a flurry of Skill Checks to claim their rewards. The catch is that failure means having to hunt the Glyph down all over again.
9. Crescendo

'Crescendo' was the first Tome dedicated to a single Chapter of "Dead by Daylight" DLC as both the Survivor and Killer were released together in the game's "All-Kill" release. as such, players would focus their attention on Yun-Jin Lee and The Trickster, completing challenges built around their capabilities and earning cosmetics and items attuned to them.

The Tome also introduced the Purple Glyph which, only found by Killers, could move around the map, leaving a purple ooze in its trail. Hints could be given as to its whereabouts, but only if Survivors were hooked.
10. Saw

The first full chapter for licensed DLC, the tenth Tome of the game was entirely built around "Dead by Daylight's" "Saw" release, focussing on Detective Tapp as the Survivor and The Pig as the Killer, partly in celebration of the 2021 movie "Spiral". The chapter also featured the White Glyph in which Survivors had to bring a Pocket Mirror to the Basement of their game (safely!) to complete their challenges.
