Just remember to get it right when you do the real thing! Diddy is the main character in this game, with Dixie being the second player. She can glide by spinning her very long hair, which is useful at times.

They are: Rambi the Rhino, Squitter the Spider, Enguarde the Swordfish, Rattly the Snake and Squawks the Parrot. They all have very unique skills. Rambi and Enguarde can both break down walls by charging. To do this, you hold down the A button (based on default controls). Rattly can also jump extremely high by using this button. Squitter and Squawks don't have a charge move, but they both have different offensive moves. Squitter can shoot spider webs that either attack the opponent or flatten out to become levitating platforms, and Squawks can fly and spit eggs at opponents.

Note: You may argue about Glimmer and Clapper, as they do assist you in levels. But as you can't ride them, transform into them or use them to defeat enemies, I personally do not count them as official animal buddies.

Depending on how many DK coins you collect, you'll be either third, second or first place. You need to get EVERY DK coin in order to get first place, which is not easy, as you need to find every bonus level, too!

This is the fourth boss in the game. You have to turn into Squawks in order to fight King Zing. You have to shoot an egg and hit him on the stinger, which becomes increasingly difficult, as he gets faster every time you hit him. After you've hit him four times, he'll disappear in a cloud of smoke, and come back as a red wasp surrounded by five yellow ones. You have to kill all of the yellow wasps and hit the red one three times before this sucker goes down!

He's changed his name from the previous game, but he's still the same lumbering crocodile he was two years ago. The only difference is, this time he's slightly more difficult.

Strangely enough, the full grown Neckies seemed to have died out in the time it took for 'Rare' to create the second installment of "Donkey Kong Country". An even weirder thing is that the first boss (and fifth, as a ghost), Krow, is an even bigger version of the Neckies, which seems to elude all logical sense.

It's called 'Web Woods', and it's possibly the longest level in the game. You get turned into Squitter, and you have to shoot web for most of it. At the very end, providing you have both monkeys and extremely quick reflexes, you can get the DK coin for the level by jumping on the bullseye at the exact right time. Beware, though, because the DK coin is only there for about half a second, and if you miss it, you have to settle for a single banana!

Note: Another level where a DK coin is offered as a prize is 'Mudhole Marsh', and it's quite difficult in this one, too, as you have to jump and bounce off a barrel at the exact right time.

On every world from world 2 to world 6, you get a chance to meet up with Klubba the gate keeper, who will only let you pass if you pay him fifteen Kremcoins, which you worked extremely hard for! Paying him gives you access to a secret level, depending on which world you paid him on.

There are five in total, and as you need fifteen Kremcoins for each level, that means you need seventy-five Kremcoins to see all of them!

Wrinkly will also give you valuable hints about certain tactics, techniques and the boss of the world you're on if you pay her some banana coins. Since Kranky only gives you gives you advice on levels, she is arguably a lot more useful than him (and nicer, too).
