Only Solid Snake and Raiden are the two playable characters in the game. Solidus Snake is the new Boss and leader of the Dead Cell team- calling themselves the "Sons of Liberty". Assisting them are Olga Gurluckovich and former Foxhound member, Revolver Ocelot.

Answer: Iroquois Pliskin

"Iroquois Pliskin" is really Solid Snake in disguise, which Raiden doesn't know of. Pliskin tells Raiden he is a Lt. Junior Grade of the Navy SEALS. David Hayter voices his character.

The Plant chapter is set in 2009- four years after the "Shadow Moses" incident. The "Tanker" chapter was set in 2007 and "Metal Gear Solid" was set in 2005, 2 years before the events of "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty".

Sergei Gurluckovich is Olga's father, who was killed when Ocelot betrays him and leaves him in the flooded Tanker. Revolver Ocelot himself was never fought against and Snake's first boss encounter is Olga, whom he successfully tranquilizes in battle.

Rosemary is Raiden's girlfriend, and constantly asks Raiden about the significance of April 30- the day after his mission. Naomi was in the previous game but does not return to this one. Para-Medic takes the Data Analyst role in "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater".

Dead Cell- "Sons of Liberty", consisting of Fatman, Vamp, Fortune and their leader Solidus Snake. Live Cell is not an organization in the "Metal Gear Solid" series, and was just made up. The Cobra Unit features in "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater".

The ninja was Olga Gurluckovich in disguise, imitating Gray Fox from "Metal Gear Solid". Liquid Snake controls Ocelot occasionally through his newly attached arm.

The three "brothers", Solid Snake, Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake are clones of the legendary mercenary, Big Boss. Solid and Liquid live on (Liquid through Ocelots new arm) but Solidus is killed in battle by the rookie Raiden.

When Raiden approaches Arsenal Gear, it becomes clear that the Colonel that Raiden has been taking orders from is actually a creation of the GW super-computer, pieced together from information about Colonel Campbell with Raiden's own expectations in order to manipulate him.

Near the end of the game, Ocelot reveals that he is a Patriot agent, infuriating Solidus. He reveals that the entire episode of the day was a careful attempt to re-enact the events of the "Shadow Moses" incident. Ocelot describes this as the 'S3 Plan' (Solid Snake Simulation). Ocelot then boards the prototype Metal Gear RAY, stolen from the Tanker two years ago, and attempts to finish off his mission.

However, Liquid Snake possesses him, and says that he is going to hunt down the Patriots based on Ocelots knowledge. Liquid-Ocelot dives RAY into the ocean, followed by Solid Snake who manages to break free.
