Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these is NOT one of the beams you can acquire?

Answer: Sonic

There is no such thing as a sonic beam. However, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes does have a slight variant to one of the beams, called a Sonic Beam. This quiz was made before that game, so it was a complete coincidence.
2. What is the name of the laboratory that you land your ship on when you first begin the game?

Answer: BSL

All of the other three choices are made up.
3. What is the first name of Samus' former companion, Malkovich?

Answer: Adam

Adam Malkovich used to give orders, in sort of a nice tone, to Samus before beginning missions. She talks about him as she slowly moves up or down elevators sometimes.
4. What is the name of "Sector 5"?

Answer: ARC

This basically stands for ARCtic. TRO could stand for TROpical, and NOC for NOCturnal. I'm not too sure about SRX, though. It has been suggested that SRX is very closely related to SR 388.
5. Which of these is NOT the name of a boss?

Answer: Hornoad

Hornoad is actually the name of an enemy that is found early in the game.
6. What connectivity feature is unlocked on "Metroid: Zero Mission" if connected to this game?

Answer: Metroid Fusion Gallery

You unlock cool pictures from Metroid Fusion.
7. How many energy tanks are in this game?

Answer: 20

There are much more Energy Tanks, Power Bomb Tanks and Missle Expansions in this game than in "Metroid Prime". Collectibles are commonplace in the "Metroid" universe.
8. According to the opening sequence, which "Metroid" game is this in the series?

Answer: Metroid 4

If you count in "Metroid Prime", this is really the fifth in the series, and "Metroid Prime" would be the second. More people consider "Metroid Prime" to be "Metroid 1 1/2" since it takes place between the first and second "Metroid" games.
9. What button(s) do you hold and then press to use missiles?

Answer: Hold R, then press B

While standing on your feet, press R+B to use missiles. This is also used for "Power Bombs" in "Morph Ball" mode.
10. If you connect a completed "Metroid Fusion" game to "Metroid Prime" for Nintendo Gamecube, what "Metroid" game can you play on the Nintendo Gamecube?

Answer: Metroid

You can play the original NES "Metroid" and even have your password saved on a Memory Card, so you don't have to write it down.
11. What color security lock can be opened in the Sector AQA?

Answer: Red

This is the last security lock to be opened.
12. What are the names of the animals that you rescue from the Main Deck and later return to your ship?

Answer: Etecoons and Dachoras

Etecoons and Dachoras are animals Samus has rarely seen. Ratifans, and Hertigos are made up.
13. On the Main Deck, which of these Sector elevators is NOT on the left side of the main elevator?

Answer: 4

Sectors 2, 4 and 6 are on the right side of the main elevator. Sectors 1, 3 and 5 are on the left side. That would be even and odd numbers being separated, for those who didn't catch on.
14. How many Save Rooms are in Sector SRX?

Answer: 5

There are actually 5 Save Rooms here. I congratulate anyone who answered this correctly!
15. When you enter a Sector via its main elevator, in which order will these three rooms always come?

Answer: Navigation Room, Save Room, Recharge Room

This order is always the same, no matter what Sector. In one sector, the order is this, but goes in an order that if not left to right.
16. Sector PYR is mainly asscoiated with what element?

Answer: Fire

PYR most likely stands for PYRophile.
17. In what Sector is your first SA-X encounter?

Answer: Sector TRO

The SA-X is very easy to avoid. All you do is stay above its platform until it leaves the room.
18. When you first enter the Restricted Zone of the Main Deck near the end of the game, what two letters do you see?

Answer: L-X

I haven't really found a meaning for L-X.
19. After setting a course to SR388 in the Operations Room on the Main Deck at the end of the game, how many minutes do you have to retreat to your ship and escape?

Answer: 3

You only have three minutes to get back to your ship. During this time, you must also defeat one final surprise boss...
20. What two letters appear to be displayed on every Recharge Room's computer screen upside-down?

Answer: TO

Again, I haven't found any meaning for TO. Some suggestions have come in, but it's possible that it wasn't even meant to appear as TO. And of course, the other three choices were made up.
