Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. For any DC in the game, there are two loadouts a player should always carry that play dramatically different to one another. One of them is the classic DO, the other is the AC. What do "DO" and "AC" stand for?

Answer: Divine Oracle and Anointed Champion

The trademark loadouts of the Devoted Cleric, these loadouts are what make the class arguably the best class in the game, and certainly one of the most sought after. The Divine Oracle offers unrivalled Buffing potential, with amazing goodies such as Forgemaster's Flame and Prophecy of Doom, which can single handedly propel a group that would otherwise fail to successfully finish a dungeon into completing said dungeon with ease.

The Divine Oracle also, by nature, packs a fair punch; most of their attacks lower the damage resistance of their enemies, or buff the attacking power of their allies, while also conveniently being attacks which do decent damage themselves. That said, DOs cannot match the firepower of traditional DPSes, but for a support class, they aren't overtly passive. Meanwhile, the AC is extremely passive, by far the most passive class in the game, but they are also of gargantuan importance for any serious party: the Heals they provide are unrivalled, and are completely necessary to complete any Tier 3 Dungeon in the game. Both loadouts tend to sport useful tools such as Astral Shield and Astral Seal, as well.
2. Of all the tools in the DO variant's arsenal, Prophecy of Doom comes in as one of the most unique, albeit one with the deadliest potential. What does Prophecy of Doom do?

Answer: Significantly lowers the Damage Resistance and Damage dealt on the target and reduces the Cleric's Threat level for eight seconds, before dealing massive damage if the target did not die after eight seconds

Prophecy of Doom is a must have for any serious DO DC. Unfortunately, it has a massive cooldown time and only hits one target, so it is unfortunately difficult to make use of when confronted by multiple enemies. That said, it truly shines against bosses, especially bosses such as Orcus on Castle Never or Hati on Fangbreaker Island, bosses which do not have minions that join them in the fight.
3. For the AC variant, Divine Glow is a regular for most who run this variant. What does Divine Glow do?

Answer: Applies a Heal-over-Time to a targetted ally and a Damage-over-Time to a targetted enemy

Divine Glow is the perfect "I need to find a button to press" maneuver, as there's no time where using it will ever be a bad thing. The Damage-over-Time is fairly insignificant, but it builds up quickly when meshed with the damage the party is doing to the target.

Unfortunately, this move generates a big amount of Threat, so before you attempt to use it, be sure of two things: that there are no enemies behind or near you, or that if there are, it's because the Tank has their attention, and will thus easily out-Threat you.
4. Scenario: you are running with a party on the Master Svardborg Assault. In this scenario, you are the Heal DC, so you have been lodged to the Tank while the Tank goes to work against Storvald. All of a sudden, Storvald cries out "You will die! Alone!" What does this line cue you in to doing?

Answer: Casting Anointed Army on the Tank

When Storvald utters this line, he will wait three seconds before striking his target with a Ring of Winter imbued attack which does a gargantuan amount of damage. In fact, should this attack happen to critically strike, it will kill its target, guaranteed. That said, even if it does not critically strike, the Tank is still in danger of falling to this attack if you do not give them this form of support.

This very attack renders the equipping of Anointed Army absolutely mandatory, as usage of this Power alone will assure the Tank's survival barring a critical hit, and will actually allow them to survive with plenty of health to spare. Astral Shield may seem sufficient, but the buffer is extremely minor in comparison and does not provide the same reliability that Anointed Armor does, and is thus highly discouraged and rarely ever good enough for this purpose.
5. The Lillend is typically regarded as the best companion in the game for either variant of the Devoted Cleric. All told, it has everything that the DC could feasibly want. What does the Lillend do that supports the DC so much?

Answer: It essentially provides the same Heals and Buffs that the DC was already providing at a high level, increasing the support the DC provides exponentially

The Lillend has two Powers which are important to keep track of. Audio Drain is one of them, and usage of this Power deals damage over time to the target and heals allies near the target for 7% of their health over five seconds. The second is Rejuvenating Chord, a Power which heals the target for 1.8% of their maximum HP. both Powers are used very, very quickly, and build up fast. Clearly, the Lillend is not as good as the actual DC themselves, but the two units' combined support is often essential, to the point where various parties looking for a DC to run Tomb of the Nine Gods with will not even allow a DC into their party if they do not have the Lillend. Thankfully, the Lillend is fairly easy to obtain, at least during the Winter Festival; its price on the Auction House is drastically reduced, and the game cannot give them away fast enough at the Simral Festival. Outside of this period of time, though, the Lillend will prove to be extremely expensive, ranging in the 600-700 thousand Astral Diamonds neighborhood.
6. When debating which three piece set works the best for the Cleric, two sets often come to mind: the Tiamat set, and the Lathander set. The Lathander set works incredibly well with the Soulforged Armor Enhancement, but the Tiamat set is debatably better, and does not require the user to invest in a Soulforged. What does the Tiamat set do?

Answer: Increases the potency of the DC's Heals

The Outgoing and Incoming Heal rate is increased by 5% when the full three pieced Tiamat set is worn. This is the set that I happen to run on my DC of both variants, and consist of the Orb of Tiamat's Majesty, the Tiamat Sash, and the Cloak of Tiamat. Thankfully, the set is extremely cheap on the Auction House, and can all be had for a combined total of roughly 20,000 Astral Diamonds. Meanwhile, the Lathander set is equally potent; when the entire set is had, the DC applies a gargantuan Heal-over-Time if they should happen to fall in battle, and if they are revived, everyone in the party is instantly healed to full health and given a major Recovery buff.

This pairs well with the Soulforged Enhancement, as their Enhancement will instantly revive the user upon falling in battle, thus triggering both effects of the Lathander set instantly.

The catch is that the Soulforged has a cooldown period of ninety seconds, whereas the Tiamat set's effect is consistent, and lacking of any drawbacks whatsoever.

The Lathander set will usually be the better choice if the party is attempting to run through a dungeon quickly, but if the party simply wants to straight up complete a dungeon, they will usually prefer their DC to run the Tiamat set.
7. Is it possible for a DC to craft a viable DPS loadout?

Answer: Yes

DCs create some of the meanest Damage slinging loadouts around. In fact, there have been multiple documented instances where a group of twenty five DCs all got together and ran through the Epic Trial of Tiamat, an Epic Trial which usually requires 2-4 Tanks, 2-4 DCs, and the rest being natural DPS loadouts. What's equally amazing is that these DCs run through an Epic Trial which projects to take a little less than half an hour in less than ten minutes.

The reason for this is simple; if every DC runs Terrifying Insight, they are all buffing each other's Damage output by 8%. 8 x 25= 200, so every DC in the party is immediately receiving an everlasting 200% buff to their Damage output before the fight has even started. That's not all, though; if everyone brings Forgemaster's Flame and Prophecy of Doom, as they should, that's another 60% spread amongst the group, which means everyone has anywhere from a 200-260% buff to their usual Damage output at any given moment.

There is not a single class in the entire game that can conjure those types of numbers.

Unfortunately, DPS DCs cannot register in the Public Server as DPSes, and thus will be registered, and expected to play the role of Healers.
8. When attempting to charge up their Divinity Meter, both variants of the DC will typically lean on this At-Will to charge their Meter up, while also continuing to administer their heals in this way. What is this At-Will?

Answer: Astral Seal

Astral Seal is a simple, yet speedy and effective way to apply Heals: it marks the DC's target with Astral Seal. For eight seconds, this target, when struck, heals whoever struck them for 10% of the damage caused to the target. It can only be applied once every eight seconds, but it can be consistently applied to a single target, which is helpful for when the DC runs low on Divinity.
9. The DC's very own Sigil of the Devoted is commonly thought to be the class' best Primary Artifact. What does it do?

Answer: Regenerates 80% of their Action Points over 15 seconds and Heals the user whenever they use an Encounter

The effects of this Artifact are simply amazing. Action Point regeneration is extremely helpful, since a Cleric of either kind should be constantly using their Dailies. They also tend to spam their Encounters, and being rewarded with Heals for doing so makes this Artifact all the more helpful.

In fact, I would caution the user to be mindful of inflicting carpal tunnel upon themselves; you will ideally be mashing a lot of buttons very, very quickly when you're under the effect of the Sigil of the Devoted.
10. Where Tanks, such as the Guardian Fighter, use their Stamina to go into Guard, and Control Wizards use it to Teleport, what does the DC's Stamina allow them to do?

Answer: Dash

A very simple dash forward is what the DC uses their Stamina for. It can be used to dodge mighty blows. What's interesting is that, for the first 0.5 seconds of the dash, the DC is totally immune to any damage of any source. Hypothetically, if the DC was inflicted with a poison, they could make use of a timely dash to "dodge" the effects of the poison.
