You can attain an Iced Potato in Star Valley after resting at the Toad House, as well as Shiver City's Toad House. Fire Flowers are attainable at various shops and through the wild.

Kolorado gives you a star piece for giving him an artifact, Rip Cheato sells one for 64 coins, and Merlon gives one to Mario for delivering a letter.
