Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Steven, the Champion is now the only person who stands between you and your true title. What kind of Pokémon did Steven say he liked?

Answer: Steel

Steven actually told you, earlier in the game, that he like Steel Pokémon and that his favorite move is Steel Wing (He also gave you TM 47 (Steel Wing) in Granite Cave). There aren't many types that are weak against Steel, but Steel has a lot of resistances. Fire, Fighting, and Ground are the only types that actually have an advantage against Steel, and there are very few types that are indifferent. Coupled with the high defensive score Steel types normally get, they'll be hard to take down.
2. Which of these Pokémon does Steven not have?

Answer: Machamp

This is rather interesting. Although Steven said he liked Steel, three of his Pokémon are not even half that. Cradily is a Grass/Rock Pokémon, Armaldo is a Bug/Rock, and Claydol is Ground/Psychic. None-the-less, all have high Defense and Special Defense scores and powerful attacks. His other Pokémon include Metacross, Skarmory, and Aggron.
3. If you actually got through the Elite Four and Steven, you'll be congratulated by Steven, and then two other characters will come in. Who will NOT come in?

Answer: Your Mom

Brandon or May will come running in to give you advice before you battle the Champion. He/she quickly realize that you've already beaten Steven and explain his amazement. Professor Birch will come in and tells his kid (your rival) that he/she should have known better, etc. Steven tells you to go with him into the next room, but has to quickly explain to your rival that only Champions are allowed into the room. You go in with Steven, get your Pokémon and yourself recorded, and then you can sit back and watch the credits roll by.
4. Even though you may have beaten the Champion, and become the Champion yourself, there's still plenty to do. There are eight floors in the Trick House, and with the Elite Four behind you, you can challenge the final one now. Which item do get for completing the final floor?

Answer: Red/Blue Tent

If you're playing "Ruby", you'll get the Red Tent, and if you're playing "Sapphire" you'll get the Blue Tent. This item is a decoration for your Secret Base. If you use it in your Secret Base it almost acts as a status symbol (because you can only get it after beating the Elite Four and Champion). Apart from that, nothing special.
5. On Route 131, you can find a place where you can get another Legendary Pokémon. What is this place called?

Answer: Sky Pillar

The Sky Pillar is a tall tower. Every other floor is littered with cracks. You need the Mach Bike to speed across the cracks, because if you stay one spot too long you'll fall down to the floor below.
6. Which Pokémon can you find atop the structure on Route 131?

Answer: Rayquaza

Rayquaza is a giant flying Pokémon (Dragon/Flying to be exact). Like all other Legendary Pokémon, there is only one, so capture it if you can. Rayquaza is at level seventy when you find it, so come prepared for a tough fight.
7. The Regi. There are three Semi-Legendary Pokémon out there. Which of the following is not a Regi?

Answer: Regiground

Regi are strange Pokémon, and the way to find them is stranger still. All Regi come with Curse, Ancient Power and an attack called Superpower as well as one attack to match their types. Regirock has Rock Throw, Registeel has Metal Claw, and Regice has Icy Wind.
8. How do you unlock the Regi?

Answer: Put a Relicanth in the first Pokémon slot, a Wailord in the last, and read the script on the walls in the underwater cave on Route 134

You can get a Relicanth in the underwater grass in the ring around Sootopolis City, and can fish up a Wailmer practically anywhere (which can evolve into a Wailord). You'll have to navigate the currents of Route 134 like an expert to find where you want to go (try to stay as close to the bottom as you can). Once you find an area of calm water with a dark patch. Dive and then enter the underwater cave. What's really scary, though, is that there's more for each individual Regi. Once you find Registeel's resting place (all the resting places are marked by a large stone surrounded by six smaller stones set in the ground) you have to go to the center of the room and use Fly. For Regirock you want to walk two steps south (down) and three steps east (right) from the top/center space in the room, and use Strength to open the door to its lair. Finally, Regice, you just have to walk up to the top/center space and wait for five minutes (really, don't touch anything, just let your character stand there) and then the door will open.
9. Latios and Latias are two Legendary Pokémon, but you can only get one of them, depending on which version you're playing (you'll need to trade from one of your friends with the other version to get the other). What types are these two Pokémon?

Answer: Psychic/Dragon

"Ruby" players can get Latios and "Sapphire" players can get Latias. Once you've beaten the Elite Four these Pokémon will start flying around (They're not part flying, but their ability, Levitate, gives them an immunity to Ground. These Pokémon act in a similar fashion as Entei, Suicune, Raikou from the "Gold/Silver" series; they move from route to route whenever you do and you can't track them until you've encountered them.
10. The ship, S.S Tidal, is also now complete. You can sail between Slateport City, and Lilycove City for free, as well as which new place?

Answer: Battle Tower

If you thought the Pokémon League was tough, you haven't seen anything yet. At the Battle Tower, you can enter a level 50 challenge or a level 100 challenge (those numbers represent the level of your opponents). No Pokémon over level 50 may enter the level 50 challenge. You can't use Legendary Pokémon, you can't use items from your pack (but you can equip items to your Pokémon), and you can only use three Pokémon for each set of battles. You enter a contest and you have to face seven trainers, each with three of their own Pokémon. If you win 50 consecutive battles you'll win a Silver Shield, and if you win 100 consecutive battles you'll get a Gold Shield.

These is also the ultimate battle in which you won't ever have a level advantage. Good luck, and I hope you enjoyed these quizzes.
