Spelling It Out - "Banjo-Kazooie" Quiz

Answer: Bottles

Bottles is first met at Spiral Mountain and he has a molehill right outside Banjo's house. It isn't discovered until "Banjo-Tooie" that Bottles has a home with his family in Jinjo Village. Throughout this first adventure though, Bottles will appear in various worlds as a mentor who teaches the bear and bird how to make use of their skills and items. Bottles will also record Note scores.

Answer: Red Feathers

If you find Bottles on the crow's nest of the Salty Hippo in the second world, he'll teach you to use the Red Feathers and Flight Pad to fly. The Gold Feathers are given the first time in Clanker's Cavern when you learn the Wonderwing. The first time you use the Wading Boots will probably be in the waters of Bubblegloop Swamp, and the Turbo Shoes (aka Turbo Trainers) will likely be your final skill learned.

It's also the only skill learned in Gobi's Valley.

Answer: Eyrie

Over the seasons, you can watch Eyrie the eagle grow and change. Hatch his egg in the spring, feed him caterpillars over summer and autumn, and then return in winter to see the bird in his final form. At this stage, you'll get your Jiggy. Nabnut will give you a Jiggy in autumn and Gobi helps you get a Jiggy (against his will) in summer and autumn.

Although you can help Gnawty in summer, you can't actually reach his Jiggy until autumn. You can also claim it in winter.

Answer: Notes

Musical Notes are used to open Note Doors which can be found in Grunty's Lair. By the end of the game, it's possible to have nine hundred Notes though only eight hundred and ten are needed to reach the witch. To claim everything in the game, you need to have eight hundred and eighty-two Notes.

When you leave a world, your highest Note score is saved and you need to collect all of the notes over again to get another score.

Answer: Treasure Trove Cove

After obtaining fifty Notes and two Jiggies from Mumbo's Mountain, you can make your way to the second of nine stages in Grunty's Lair. This area, with a pirate/sea theme contains a shark, pirate ship, and lighthouse and it involves swimming and flying tasks. Two skills are learned here, and like usual, you can collect one hundred Notes and ten Jiggies.

Answer: Ice Key

The Ice Key can be found in the back of Wozza's Cave and without a Gameshark or a certain cheat, it's near impossible to get closer than a wall of ice. In the sequel, "Banjo-Tooie", players can find a second Ice Key. This is used to unlock a large safe in Cloud Cuckooland (via Glitter Gulch Mine) in order to claim a large Glowbo that will turn Kazooie into a dragon.

The Blue Egg is also an 'easter egg' in "Banjo-Kazooie".

Answer: Lava

If you happen to incorrectly guess the answer to a Skull Question, you'll be thrown into the lava as punishment and you'll be forced to start all over again. There's also lava in the room containing the Gobi's Valley picture. Gobi also mentions he's off to visit the lava world, but this isn't seen until "Banjo-Tooie". One step in lava and Banjo loses all of his health (and a life).

Answer: Diddy Kong Racing

"Diddy Kong Racing" is another title in Rare's "Donkey Kong" series starring "Donkey Kong Country's" sidekick Diddy. In this game, players can choose Banjo or other characters to defeat the evil Wizpig in an adventure around Timber's Island. In the game, you can race through different unique environments in a plane, car, or hovercraft. The game is for the Nintendo 64.

Answer: Autumn

In autumn, you can collect forty-eight of Click Clock Wood's one hundred notes. The others are distributed evenly amongst winter, spring, and summer while four can be found in the stage's lobby. The notes in the autumn area are mostly found amongst the leaves and around the large central tree. Be sure to check Mumbo's, Gnawty's, and Nabnut's places as well.

Answer: Brentilda

Brentilda is an important character in most of the game. She can be found throughout Gruntilda's Lair and she will give you personal information about Grunty which can be used on Gruntilda spaces in "Grunty's Furnace Fun". If you're low on health, you'll also get a full health bar. Brentilda is the good sister of Grunty. Oddly, you don't find out about Grunty's other sisters until the sequel.
