Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the main hub for this game?

Answer: Delfino Plaza

From Delfino Plaza, you can access all of the worlds.
The Comet Obervatory is the main hub from "Super Mario Galaxy" for the Nintendo Wii.
Starship Mario is the main hub from "Super Mario Galaxy 2" which is also for the Nintendo Wii.
The World Map is the main hub for the "Super Mario Bros." games, which vary from the Nintendo DS to the Wii U.
2. How many main worlds are there?

Answer: Seven

The seven main worlds are Bianco Hills, Ricco Harbor, Gelato Beach, Pinna Park, Sirena Beach, Noki Bay and Pianta Village.
Of course there are more worlds, but there are only seven main worlds.
3. What is the name of the device that helps Mario on his journey?

Answer: FLUDD

FLUDD stands for Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device. Some people don't really like FLUDD because you can reach areas so much easier, but there are stages where you don't get to use FLUDD.
4. How many stars are in each main level?

Answer: Eleven

There are eleven stars in each level: eight regular ones, a 100 coin star (which, unlike in "Super Mario 64", doesn't spawn in the spot where you collect the 100th coin) and two secret stars. If there are secret levels, which are levels that you play without FLUDD the first time, that's where one of the secret stars is. If you replay that secret star, there will be a red-coin button, which requires you to collect eight red coins within a certain amount of time.
5. How many times do you fight Petey Piranha?

Answer: Two

You fight Petey Piranha two times, both of them in Bianco Hills. The first time is on top of the windmill, and the second time is in the village.
6. Who is Shadow Mario really?

Answer: Bowser Jr.

Bowser Jr. disguises himself as shadow Mario in order to get him sent to prison. Unfortunately for him, Mario didn't get sent to prison, as he was sentenced to clean the entire island.
7. How many stars are there in the game?

Answer: 120

There are 120 in total, just like in "Super Mario 64".
There are 150 stars in "Super Mario 64 DS" for the Nintendo DS.
There's a total of 121 stars in "Super Mario Galaxy" and a total of 242 stars in "Super Mario Galaxy 2".
8. How many times do you chase Shadow Mario (Delfino Plaza included)?

Answer: Eleven

You chase Shadow Mario down eleven times, the first time being when he kidnaps Peach. You chase him down in each main world, which adds up to eight times. You chase him down in Delfino Plaza to get Yoshi, the rocket nozzle, and the turbo nozzle, which adds up to a total of eleven times.
9. In which star of every level do you chase down Shadow Mario?

Answer: Seventh

The seventh star of every level is chasing down Shadow Mario. The eighth star is usually a festive star. With exception of Ricco Harbor, Gelato Beach and Pinna Park, the eighth star will require you to collect eight red coins
10. How many blue coins are there in total?

Answer: 240

There are 240 blue coins in the whole game. There are thirty in each level, then there are twenty in Delfino Plaza and ten in Corona Mountain. You can trade ten blue coins for one star, so this gives you a total of twenty-four stars.
