1. Before you can complete the Temple of Ice, you need to obtain the Penguinist Gloves. In order to do this, you need to collect three Penguinist Quills, and take them where in Flanoir?

Answer: Accessory Shop

The Penguinists are strange creatures which look like people dressed in blue penguin suits. Sometimes after battle they will drop Penguinist Quills, and if you collect three of them, the old man in the accessory shop will make the gloves for you. If you travel to the field outside Katz Village, you can fight pink versions of the Penguinists, who also drop quills.

2. When you have made the Penguinist gloves, you must equip them before you can pick the Celsius' Tear. Who must equip the gloves?

Answer: Any party member

You need to get the gloves so that you can pick the rare flower, Celsius' Tear. The gloves need to be equipped by anyone in your party who is capable of equipping them. Penguinist gloves raise defense by 3 points, and reduce ice damage.

3. What is the name of the large wolf-like creature that you can encounter in the Temple of Ice, and the surrounding area?

Answer: lobo

This is a large, grey and blue wolf, which is about three times higher than your characters. Lobos normally appear in pairs, and have a nasty attack which involves them rolling up like a circular saw, and hitting a party member.

4. Before you enter the main cave of the Temple, you come to an entrance area. There are three chests in this area. Which of the following is NOT one of the items you can collect here?

Answer: EX Gem Lv3

The Ancient Robe and the Defenser are to the right of the area, and the Mythril Shield is to the left. The EX Gem Lv 3 can be found near the entrance to the Boss Chamber, after you complete the sliding ice puzzle.

5. Once you have entered the temple, you can change the sorceror's ring attribute, then go up the stairs for a chest containing an Ice Coffin. What is an Ice Coffin?

Answer: Sword

The Ice Coffin is a sword weapon for either Zelos or Kratos. It adds 500 to your character's strength, attacks with the ice element, and deals increased damage to human enemies.

6. After crossing the ice bridge, and heading south, you need to freeze a drop of water into a block of ice, then push the block. Which direction must you push the block in?

Answer: West

You need to push the block to the left, to fill up a hole, allowing you to walk across. This is the second time you need to freeze water into an ice block in the temple - the first time it automatically fills the gap.

Answer: Up, Left, Down, Left, Up, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left

This area is very frustrating, because you can end up going round and round in circles, always ending up at the same place! In this puzzle, you must slide around on the ice, until you hit an object, and can then change direction. To work out the route to both the Rosemary or the exit, you need to mentally trace out the route before you start. It can help if you work backwards.

Answer: Right

The top statue must face left, the right statue must face down, and the left statue must face right. The clue to work out these directions can be seen by looking out over the ice slide puzzle - the screen will go into close-up, and you can see a number of face-like objects sticking out of the ice in different directions.

After completing this puzzle, you can enter the Boss Chamber and face Celsius.

9. Who fights alongside Celsius during the battle to gain the Summon Spirit's power?

Answer: Fenrir

Fenrir is a small, grey wolf, who helps Celsius battle. He is weak against both fire and lightning, and takes reduced damage from ice and water. Fenrir has 12000 HP, and is by far the easier of the two to defeat.

10. Celsius relies heavily on her magic, and is not a very physically strong opponent. She has the lowest HP of any of the Summon Spirits from Tethe'alla, at which figure (on normal difficulty)?

Answer: 18000

Celsius has very low HP, considering you fight her quite late into the game. Gnome and Shadow both have HP figures close to double her amount. However, it should be remembered that Celsius does not fight alone, and the combined total of her HP and Fenrir's HP can make for a much longer battle.
