The cards made by Nintendo were handmade Hanafuda cards, and a division of Nintendo still make the cards today, although this part of the business is dying. Hanafuda originally gained popularity with the Yakuza.
2. Which famous game designer founded Lionhead Studios?

Answer: Peter Molyneux

With Bullfrog, Molyneux was responsible for such hit games as "Populous", "Syndicate" and "Theme Park". Warren Spector is the controversial creator of the "Deus Ex" games. Sid Meier is the main brain behind the "Civilisation" series, while Will Wright is famous for his work on the "Sim" games.

Swinging Ape were the team behind the overlooked "Metal Arms: Glitch In The System", and were called in by Blizzard to work on the now defunct "Starcraft: Ghost". Eventually they were bought completely by Blizzard.

Although he didn't work on the game in question, Dave Gibbons did work with Revolution Software on the acclaimed adventure game "Beneath A Steel Sky". McFarlane rose to fame with his work for Marvel Comics on Spiderman, but is probably most famous for his own creation, Spawn.
7. In what year was the phenomenally successful "Myst" first released?

"Myst" was originally released for the Apple Macintosh. When converted for IBM-Compatable PCs, it rapidly became the best-selling game of all time, an honour it held until the release of "The Sims".

"Guild Wars" takes place on a world called Tyria, "Lineage's" world is called Aden, and the "Warcraft" games, of course, are set in Azeroth. As well as taking place in Norrath, expansions have enabled players to explore the world's moon, Luclin, as well as numerous other planes of reality.

Adams came up with the idea for the game after his bank sent his new credit card to the wrong address, resulting in weeks of being tangled in red tape while trying to sort out the mistake. Ballyhoo was written by Jeff O'Neill and was a mystery set in a sinister circus. Hollywood Hijinx was written by Dave Anderson and Liz Cyr-Jones, and is set in a Hollywood mansion which, due to a strange legacy, will be yours if you can spend just one night there. Leather Goddesses Of Phobos, written by Steve Meretzky, sees you kidnapped by aliens as a test subject for study prior to their invasion of Earth, and was Infocom's first "sex farce" game, allowing the player to choose from several levels of naughtiness from "tame" to "lewd".
