Task Force Talon attempts to meet Colonel Whitmore at Fort McCoy, which is the only active military base in Wisconsin. It has been around as McCoy since 1926.

"Act of War: High Treason" is set on the brink of a presidential election. It features presidential assassinations, missing candidates, shadowy conspiracies and potential biological warfare. It was released by Atari in the spring of 2006.

Fort Howard was built near Green Bay in 1812 and decommissioned in 1853. Several of its structures are at Heritage Hill State Park. Fort Crawford, near Prairie du Chien, was active from 1812 to 1856. And Camp Randall is now a football stadium; it was a military base during the US Civil War.

"Hotline Miami" is a first person shooter game in which the player guns downs members of the Russian mafia in Miami. It was released in 2012.

Devolverland Expo is a marketing simulation set at a computer convention. Tumble Time is a physics based game. And Serious Sam is an early first person shooter developed by Croteam and Devolver Digital, released in 2001.

The Nancy Drew game is set in Wickford Castle. It is a point-and-click adventure in which players must solve puzzles and search rooms to solve a mystery involving a royal treasure owned by Marie Antoinette. The game was fairly successful, selling up to two million units between 2001 and 2006.

White Woods is the ski resort in the novel "Snow Waste" by Michael Bemis. Spruce Peak is the Vermont based lodge in "Fade to White" by Wendy Clinch. Devil's Head is a real world ski resort located near Baraboo.

Blackwolf Run is a digital download for "Tiger Woods PGA 14". It is one of the golf courses located at the American Club in Kohler, a town midway between Milwaukee and Green Bay which is best known for plumbing fixtures. The landscape of the course was shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago.

Tuckaway and Milwaukee County Club are both championship level courses in Milwaukee County, while Sand Valley is in Wood County, almost directly south of Wisconsin Rapids.

The Wisconsin segment is set near the fictional Black Badger Lake and Grainwoods River. Players haul lumber to a paper factory.

For much of the 19th century, Wisconsin was a major logging center. Much of the north woods was chopped down and shipped to Green Bay, which became a center for paper manufacturing. Kimberly Clark, founded in Neenah in 1872, is a major manufacturer of facial tissue (Kleenex), toilet paper and a variety of other paper products.

Beer, cheese and maple syrup are all major agricultural products of Wisconsin.

"The Vanishing of Ethan Clark" is set in Red Creek Valley. It was released by The Astronauts in September 2014, and seems to be the company's only release. The game is a puzzle solving adventure in which the goal is to solve the disappearance of the title character. "Vanishing" was highly praised for its extremely realistic graphics.

Waterford Falls is the fictional Wisconsin town in "A Minute with Stan Hooper." French Landing is from the Peter Straub-Stephen King novel "Black House" and Twin Peaks is a Washington based community from the imagination of David Lynch.

Dorsey Levens made the cover in 2000. It took another nine years before Brett Favre made the cover. As of 2020, neither Rodgers nor Howard had made the cover, and Rodgers and Howard were both Superbowl MVP.

Dorsey Levens was with the Packers from 1994 to 2001, and was on the championship team that won Superbowl XXXI. Levens suffered frequent injuries during his career. He was a star player at Georgia State before being drafted by the Packers.

Road America is in Elkhart Lake, just off Wisconsin state highway 67, about 2.5 miles south of town. Road America is a four mile track with 14 turns. It hosts The Kwik Trip 250 and Henry 180 among other races.

Elkhart Lake is in Sheboygan County, as are Kohler, Howards Grove and Waldo.

In August 2020, Space Raft released a game in which you can drive the band's van past obstacles to help the band recover their stolen master tapes. The game features places from Milwaukee's indy music scene. It is playable on Nintendo NES.

Space Raft has released three albums since 2014: "Space Raft" (2014), "Rubicon" (2016) and "Positively Space Raft" (2020). The band described their music as a blend between psychedelic and pop.

Die Kreuzen is a punk rock/alt rock band formed in 1981. The Violent Femmes are a folk/alt-rock band that started in 1979. And Ghost in the Machine have been playing goth and electronica since 1998.

The employees of Raven Software, based in Madison, voted to unionize on May 23, 2022. The company's largest contract was with the "Call of Duty" series. The name of the new union was the Game Workers Alliance. Raven Software was founded in 1990 and bought by Activision in 1997. The company developed the games "Hexen" and "Heretic".

Human Head was formed by former programmers at Raven in 1997 and went out of business in 2019. Filament Games is an educational game designer founded in 2005 and based in Madison. Per Blue Entertainment is a mobile gaming studio based in Madison which started in 2008. Their first game was "Parallel Kingdom".
