Task Force Talon attempts to meet Colonel Whitmore at Fort McCoy, which is the only active military base in Wisconsin. It has been around as McCoy since 1926.

"Act of War: High Treason" is set on the brink of a presidential election. It features presidential assassinations, missing candidates, shadowy conspiracies and potential biological warfare. It was released by Atari in the spring of 2006.

Fort Howard was built near Green Bay in 1812 and decommissioned in 1853. Several of its structures are at Heritage Hill State Park. Fort Crawford, near Prairie du Chien, was active from 1812 to 1856. And Camp Randall is now a football stadium; it was a military base during the US Civil War.

Space Raft has released three albums since 2014: "Space Raft" (2014), "Rubicon" (2016) and "Positively Space Raft" (2020). The band described their music as a blend between psychedelic and pop.

The employees of Raven Software, based in Madison, voted to unionize on May 23, 2022. The company's largest contract was with the "Call of Duty" series. The name of the new union was the Game Workers Alliance. Raven Software was founded in 1990 and bought by Activision in 1997. The company developed the games "Hexen" and "Heretic".

Human Head was formed by former programmers at Raven in 1997 and went out of business in 2019. Filament Games is an educational game designer founded in 2005 and based in Madison. Per Blue Entertainment is a mobile gaming studio based in Madison which started in 2008. Their first game was "Parallel Kingdom".
