Answer: 1973

The Civic was Honda's answer to the 1973 oil crisis. It could achieve 40 mpg on the highway. There are eight generations as of 2008.
2. Where was the first generation Honda Civic manufactured?

Answer: Japan

Civics are now manufactured in England, Japan, USA, Canada, Pakistan, Brasil and Taiwan (China).
3. Which of the following is NOT a trim option of the Civic?

Answer: FX

The SI is the "sport edition" with a 197 hp 2.0 liter engine. The EX-L has added heated leather seat and heated mirrors. The GX is designed to run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and is rated the cleanest burning engine by the EPA. The DX, LX and EX are also trim options.
4. What Honda model car replaced the "CRX"?

Answer: Del Sol

Honda replaced the CRX with the Del Sol in 1992. The Del Sol had a very different body style than the CRX. Del Sol translates to "of the sun" in Spanish, in reference to the targa top convertible.

The 10th Generation Civic was unveiled in 2015, and first went on sale the following year.

Answer: Car and Driver

The Civic was on the list in 1985, 1988-1991, and 1996. It has also won numerous other awards. It won the "North American Car of the Year" in 2006. Auto Esporte, Motor Trend and North American International Auto Show named the Civic the "Car of the Year" in 2006. It was Japan's Car of the Year from 1972-1974.
