Answer: Florence

The airport is the only airport servicing the Florence area, located on the northern side of the city. The airport is used mostly for travel inside Europe, with airlines KLM and Lufthansa operating out of the airport. Globetrotters need to trot over to Pisa to use the Galileo Galilei International Airport to travel elsewhere.

The airport was named after Amerigo Vespucci, Italian cartographer and discoverer of America, in 1990.
2. Please remain seated as we enter Chinggis Khaan International Airport that serves the capital of Mongolia. Where are we now?

Answer: Ulaanbaatar

3. Please remain seated as we enter Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the largest airport of what major island city?

Answer: Jakarta

The airport is named after Soekarno and Mohammed Haata, the first president and vice president of Indonesia. The airport is one of the 10 busiest in the world, and has being running over capacity for much of its existence.
4. Please be seated as we enter Galeao international Airport. Named after Galleon Beach, Galeao International is the largest airport in this city. Answer: Rio de Janeiro

Literally a beach vacation, the original passenger terminal was located on the beach in Rio de Janeiro. Today it is the location of the Brazilian Air Force passenger terminal. In 1999 the name was changed to Rio de Janeiro/Galeao-Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport in honor of the musician's composition, "Samba do aviao", which mentions the airport.
5. Please remain seated as we land at Paro International Airport. Don't be alarmed if it's loud here in the "Land of the Thunder Dragon". Where are we landing now?

Answer: Bhutan

Paro International Airport is found near the Paro District, close to the Himalayas, in Bhutan. The airport is known for its difficult takeoffs and landings, so much so that only a few pilots are authorized to do so. This difficulty is due to the sharp peaks, some of which reach up to 18,000 feet. With that in mind, only daytime landings and takeoffs are permitted.
6. Please remain seated as we begin our descent to our next stop. The busiest airport for passenger traffic in Canada is named for a Canadian politician who won the Nobel Prize in 1957 for organizing the force that helped to solve the Suez Canal Crisis. Can someone please tell me where we're landing?

Answer: Toronto Pearson International Airport

Pearson was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his organization of the United Nations Emergency Force. He also served at the prime minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968. Pearson is one of only two airports in North America with scheduled flights to all six inhabited continents, the other being JFK in New York. All those flights made it the 35th busiest airport in the world in 2012.
7. Please remain seated as we land at the O.R. Tambo International Airport in South Africa. While in town you will want to visit the Nelson Mandela Museum and the Zoo. Where are you?

Answer: Johannesburg

The airport was built in 1952 and called Jan Smuts Airport. It was renamed in 2006 after Oliver Tambo, a former president of the African National Congress. It is one of a small number of airports in the world that has direct flights to the six inhabited continents. In 2010 it was the busiest airport in Africa, with the capacity to handle 28 million passengers annually.
8. Please remain seated as we land at three meters below sea level. In the native tongue, we are landing at Luchthaven Schiphol. Make sure to browse the tulips as we land in what city?

Answer: Amsterdam

The airport is owned and operated by the Schiphol Group. In English, the full name is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The airport occupies 13 square kilometers (3200 acres), and is considered to be an airport city. Inside the "city" is the home of KLM, and the European hub for Delta Airlines.
9. Please remain seated as we land at Lambert International Airport. If you're hoping to see the Gateway Arch or the Mississippi nearby, you're about fifteen miles away. In what U.S. state have we landed?

Answer: Missouri

The airport was named for Albert Bond Lambert, who was an Olympic medalist and aviator. At the 1904 Olympics, which was held in St. Louis, Lambert was a member of the golf team that took a silver medal. He purchased his first airplane from the Wright Brothers and took flying lessons from Orville, and was also a member of the St. Louis committee that backed the purchase of Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis.
10. Please remain seated as we land at our final destination. You can overlook Botany Bay and the Harbour through your windows. Thank you for flying QANTAS. Where is this final stop?

Answer: Sydney

Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport is one of the oldest continuously operated airports in the world, and the busiest airport in Australia. The airport closes each night, after the city government enacted a curfew, prohibiting takeoffs and landings between 11PM and 6AM daily.

The airport is also limited to 80 total landings/takeoffs per hour to curb noise problems. The airport runs three main runways, known as the "east-west", "north-south", and the "third".
