3. Which person said "I give her an hour; maybe hour and a half at best"?

Answer: Thomas Andrews

While the ship sat motionless, Captain Smith and Thomas Andrews did a fast inspection of the ship and the lower compartments. Andrews explained that the watertight bulkheads were only as high as E Deck and the ship could not float with more than four compartments flooded. Titanic had 5 opened up. Once the water filled the fifth compartment, it would overflow into the sixth and then the seventh and so on. Andrews told the captain, "I give her an hour; maybe an hour and a half at best."
4. Which officer said "I await the commander's orders"?

Answer: 3rd Officer Pitman

As the lifeboats were being filled, J. Bruce Ismay was shouting orders to load the boats. When he approached 3rd Officer Pitman to load the boats, Pitman said, "I await the commander's orders." As this message was going through, it was so close that it blasted into Phillips' headphones. He morsed back, "Shut up! Shut up! I'm busy! I'm working Cape Race!" Cape Race was a marconi station in Newfoundland where all messages were sent and received from land to ship and back.
