That creature appeared to be a wolf. He left Parrish alive, but badly injured, and went after Scott. He was going to suck out Scott's Alpha power, and tried to do so. In the midst of the fight, another wolf appeared to help. He turned out to be Theo, a friend from the fourth grade who'd long ago left Beacon Hills. Kira had spotted him while stuck in traffic on the way home from the airport, and after the fight, Stiles looked none too happy to see him back. Scott defeated the power sucker, who was later executed by his bosses. The episode ended in the show's present as well.
The Senior Scribe was a touching moment. Derek's initials were already in the library, but we saw Stiles, Kira, Malia, Lydia, and Scott add their initials. Scott added Allison's as well.
Cody Christian played Theo. The incorrect choices are characters from the "Resident Evil" video game series.
"Wolf Watch"- Holland Roden (Lydia) and Jeff Davis (show creator) confirmed that Lydia inside Eichen House was present day, and senior year was taking place in the past. The scientists inside Eichen House were called Dread Doctors, and they had big plans for Beacon Hills.

Corey and Mason saw Jake Sullivan hanging by the Riders' ropes and then vanish, but because the Riders erase a person's existence, they immediately forgot exactly what they'd witnessed. Little by little, they were able to piece together Jake's identity, and once they did, the memories of him returned- thus the theory of quantum superposition and the earlier episode reference to the experiment known as Schrödinger's Cat. The episode title does have two Is at the end, that is not a typo. It appeared as though Corey might be the only way to make the disappeared people return to reality, or at least the memory of those people.
Also in this episode- Scott was drawn to Stiles' locker, number 1075, and even tried to break the lock on it, but was caught by a teacher. Lydia had visions of a train, and she, Malia, and Scott realized that they were all trying to remember the same person. They knew that person had once appeared in a photograph taken in the previous episode.

That trip turned out to be innocuous as well. Scott showed up on Stiles' stakeout and asked him why he never trusted anyone. Stiles angrily yelled that it was because Scott trusted everyone. At the end of the episode, it was shown that Theo was not a good guy. Earlier Stiles said that he remembered Theo from fourth grade, and that this guy was not Theo. I think he was right.

In the previous episode, mountain ash had been used to protect Scott's house in order to keep people safe from the Ghost Riders. One got inside the house anyway, and Corey touched it. When he did, the Rider became visible to everyone, making them all marked for the Wild Hunt. In this episode, Mason figured out that lightning strikes were increasing exponentially whenever the Riders appeared, and there was a strike mark left inside Scott's house. They figured out that the Riders rode the lightning inside the house from above, there by not crossing the line of mountain ash that should keep out any supernatural creatures. They also figured out that Jordan Parrish had been the one to make that Rider go away that night, and that the Hellhound was the enemy of the Riders.
Also, after looking at Claudia Stilinkski's medical files, they began to feel like no Stiles had ever existed after all. They were also unable to find a relic for him. I initially thought Claudia was Stiles' relic, but at the end they showed his Jeep still parked in the school parking lot. Claudia had been dead before Stiles disappeared, because she suffered from frontotemporal dementia. She was alive again after the Riders took Stiles. We would find out why as the season went forward.

Kira's mom took her there, seen at the end of the previous episode "Damnatio Memoriae", to try and get control over the Kitsune inside her. She was told "you wield the sword, the fox wields you". Kira's mom changed her mind, and decided she wouldn't leave her daughter there. They began to fight off the Skinwalkers, and Scott and Stiles arrived in time to help. They'd been on their way for awhile, but Stiles' Jeep kept breaking down and/or running out of gas.
Theo told one of the chimeras, Tracey, that "Damnatio Memoriae" was written on the lockers at school in an attempt to get the beast to remember "who it was". Tracey asked him if it wasn't just another hybrid teenager like themselves. He said it was more than that, as the Dread Doctors needed a "body" to serve as a vessel for the beast to be reborn. Plenty of clues were leading to the possibility that the beast was connected to Allison Argent. At the end of the episode, Liam and Mason told Scott that Corey had revealed Theo was looking for a blind Alpha- Deucalion.

Derek told Dr. Deaton that they were in luck, as some of the ingredients were saved in their family vault. The tea was made from wild Reishi mushrooms, which are commonly found in China. Sebastien was killed by his sister, Marie-Jeanne Valet, using a steel pike which was created under a full moon using her own blood, mountain ash and wolfsbane.
Sebastien was revived in season 5 by the Dread Doctors using Mason Hewitt as a chimera. During this time, Sebastien terrorized the residents of Beacon Hills, until he was finally killed by Scott using the same pike wielded by Marie-Jeanne Valet.

June 23, 2016 was the date of "Brexit", when the British voted themselves out of the European Union. December 8, 1980 was the date musician John Lennon was killed in New York City.

Malia traveled to a place called Fort Jewett, which she said was in Beacon Hills, to find her birth mother, the Desert Wolf. Theo betrayed Malia (no surprise there), because the Desert Wolf had something he wanted. He traded Malia for a jar of ice blue talons. It was unclear whose talons they'd been. Deaton was tied to a chair, as the Desert Wolf had been using him for information and bait. When the Beast showed up, it almost got Deaton, but Malia saved him in time. He'd saved her already, by reminding her mother she had to kill Malia during a full moon to take her power. Malia, Deaton, and Braeden got away.
Also in this episode, Meredith tried to get Lydia to learn how to focus her voice in her own way. She told Lydia that her (Meredith) way had gotten people killed. Chris Argent and his devious father Gerard were able to get Jordan to remember that he was a Hellhound. In the story, the Hellhound and Beast fight in a epic battle that destroys everyone around them. Theo's band of chimeras found Deucalion, who said all he wanted in exchange for info on the Beast was Scott's eyes on the tips of his claws.
Tyler Lockwood was a shifter in the "Vampire Diaries" universe and Josh was a shifter on "Being Human". Seth Gilliam, who played Deaton, also played Father Gabriel on "The Walking Dead".

In this episode, we are more or less caught up with the future seen in glimpses from earlier season five episodes. It's time to get Lydia out of Eichen House. They use Kira to cause a brown out to reboot the computer system. A black out would lock the entire facility down, and they'd all be trapped inside. She was able to pull it off, but there was no longer a card reader to get into the place Lydia was being held. Scott and Liam tried to push the door off, but the mountain ash inside that part of the hospital weakened them. Jordan came along to help get the boys inside the asylum, and when the time came, he turned into the Hellhound and melted his way inside.

He needed a recording of her Banshee scream, but they were reluctant to give him something with so much power. He admitted that he wrote the book and it was a true story. They could not cross the ash to get near the doctor. The Dread Doctors and Theo had manipulated the gang into going to Eichen House, and Kira's Kitsune power short circuited the mystical laylines that kept out evilies like the Dread Doctors. Lydia finally gave in and recorded her scream for Valack, and the Dreads came in and took out his third eye. This gross procedure did not kill him. When they left, he used Lydia's scream to break the glass of his cell.

Jordan Parrish (actor Ryan Kelley) turned out to have some sort of supernatural ability, thus explaining why his name was also on the dead pool. Deputy Haigh set Parrish ablaze at the start of episode nine, "Perishable", but he survived the fire unscathed. Derek and Scott were not able to figure out what he was, supernaturally speaking, in this episode. But, his life saved Stiles and Lydia from Brunski when they went to Eichen House to figure out the secret Lorraine Martin left behind. The Sheriff, at this time, was in the hospital awaiting a bullet removal surgery. The end of the episode revealed that our Benefactor was none other than Meredith Walker (actress Maya Eshet).

Without another bullet to cure himself with, his last chance at living was having Stiles cut off his arm. Luckily for both of them, Scott showed up at the last minute.
The Argents are extremely skilled hunters and follow a code of conduct. Kate, however, has been known to break the code on several occasions. It was she who set the fire that killed most of Derek's family.

Also in this episode, Douglas used the whip to disappear Chris Argent and Melissa McCall. Peter Hale saved Scott and Malia from Riders, and was then disappeared. And, Noah Stilinksi finally accepted that Claudia was not real, and remembered he did have a son. He went to Scott and the pack, and admitted he knew he had a son, a son named Mieczyslaw Stilinski. We finally learned Stiles' first name. The incorrect choices are all supes seen on "Supernatural".

Valeck was going to use one of the Dread masks to help Lydia see who the Beast actually was, and he thought it was worth her life to get the information. But, before he could get it on her, she screamed and blew half his head off. In the end, it was Parrish (Jordan) who was able to save everyone from a potentially fatal Banshee scream when he fold himself over her as she let loose. The hole in her head amplified her abilities, and needed to be sealed before it killed her. Deaton pumped in what he said was mistletoe and she returned to normal. Theo ended up with the Dread mask (for lack of a better term) at the end.
Also, we found out that the original Beast was a male killer from the late 1700s. Once the Beast remembers being that particular human male, the teenager it was housed inside would cease to exist. They had to stop that from happening.

He went to Kira and recorded her speaking in Japanese, and later told Scott he'd done so. He also told Scott that a rough translation of her words was "I am the messenger of death". Scott admitted to Theo that he wasn't sure he could trust Kira anymore and that her fox aura may be taking control of her.

Chris followed clues to Kate and it led him to the water treatment plant. He found Peter there, instead of Kate. Peter had promised Kate not to kill her brother, but he couldn't allow Chris to leave. So, he impaled Chris with rebar and into a cement wall, and then bent the bar around him.
Peter: "Now you rest here awhile. You've had a hard time ...for a very long time."
In the episode of "Wolf Watch" for the previous episode, Ian Bohen said he'd lobbied to show creator Jeff Davis that Peter be redeemed and end up a force for good. He also added that the possibility had never really been on the table for Peter to be a good man. To me, though, he's an extremely sexy bad guy.
