Answer: Twenty-six days
Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the affiliated logistics that followed with cast and crew in Fiji, production elected to truncate the game, aiding scheduling by incorporating mandatory quarantine periods in advance of filming. It would be a decision they'd stick with going forward, reinforcing the idea that the game was entering a new era with season 41.
To compensate for the shorter timeline, tribes were informed that they would start on smaller tribes (three tribes of six) with no rice and meagre supplies-- a pot, a machete, and a flint if they won the first challenge). If tribes lost an Immunity Challenge, they would have to give up their flint, only getting it back if they won a subsequent one.

Answer: Two
At the start of this season, twenty castaways were split into two tribes of ten and sent directly to their camps, receiving buffs, meeting each other, and building shelter without any formal introduction into the game, only meeting Jeff on Day 3 for the first Immunity Challenge. Their only hint as to the theme of the season was on their tribe flag: 'Island of the Idols'.
What they discovered over the course of the game was that the namesake Idols were past winners Sandra and Rob, both brought on as mentors (with a combined total of more than two hundred days in the game). After most challenges, they would join the pair on their private island to learn some key "Survivor" lessons and risk advantages.
Sandra and Rob did not compete in the season, but would listen in on every Tribal Council.

Answer: Four
Fourteen castaways ended up arriving in the Fijian islands on a fishing boat loaded with supplies, ready for a new adventure. What they discovered was that they wouldn't be starting this adventure with a record low number of players. With that, Jeff brought four returning players: Kelley Wentworth, David Wright, Joe Anglim, and Aubry Bracco; Kelley and David went with Manu while Joe and Aubry went with Kama. With that, they had two minutes to empty the boat and head out to their respective camps as two tribes of nine.

Answer: Ten
Two boats of ten strangers each were brought out to the remote islands of Fiji in this thirty-seventh season of "Survivor" and both of them were split down tribal lines from the get-go, the first set being a group of Davids, known for overcoming obstacles and facing adversity, and the second being Goliaths, known for winning and capitalizing on their assets. After receiving their buffs, the tribes faced their first challenge (with the Davids winning shelter-building equipment) and rafted themselves to their new homes...and into a cyclone.

Answer: Six
A new group of Survivors were brought in on a ship and introduced to the game by Jeff before embarking on a thirty-nine day game of cunning and endurance. With eighteen competitors on deck, Jeff informed them that they would split into three tribes based on their traits. Levu, donning blue, would be those considered Heroes; the yellow-clad Soko would be the Healers; the red-buffed Yawa would be best-known as Hustlers. After said buffs were handed out, the game was on. The could collect their rowboats off the side of their ship, nab as many supplies as they could, and attempt to grab fire from the beach.

Answer: Twenty
Arriving amongst the remote islands of Fiji on a massive sailboat, twenty returning castaways were informed that they had already begun "Survivor: Game Changers", a season that wouldn't only push their gameplay to new levels, but force them to contend with new and aggressive twists and turns. As the anchor fell, Jeff welcomed them all and split them into two tribes: Mana and Nuku. On his go, they were given the chance to collect anything they could from the ship, loading it onto their rafts before heading to their respective campsites, and with that, the game was on.
From Quiz: Survivor: Game Changers
Answer: Flint, pot, machete
Because of the COVID-19 restrictions in Fiji which has been the sole setting for the last twelve "Survivor" seasons, all contestants and crew had to be fully vaccinated and quarantine periods had been used on some seasons. So the two "Survivor" seasons per year were shot back to back. To facilitate this, the duration of each season was reduced to 26 days. Typical resources given to contestants like flint, rice, and machete were not given at the start of the 26 days - Tribes had to win challenges to earn them. There were three tribes this season: Vesi won the flint through some inventive strategy by Cody. Coco and Baka had to do a second challenge at their campsite within time limits to earn a flint which they did.
However at the first immunity challenge, not only did the losing team have to go to Tribal Council, they had to forfeit their flint (and win it back at the next challenge).

Answer: Ten
Arriving in Fiji, ten 'Millennials' aged 18-31 and ten 'Generation X'ers' aged 33-52 were brought to their starting point on a sandy beach and Jeff handed them their properly-labelled buffs, indicating that they were all selected to be on tribes divided by their generational differences. The purple tribe, Takali, contained the older half of contestants; the orange tribe, Vanua, featured the younger half. The season featured contestants born between 1963 and 1997 (the youngest ever on the show). Before heading off to their camps, the tribes made decisions about items to collect for their camp and departed on their adventure.

Answer: Six
Touting one of the most gruelling seasons of the show to date, "Survivor" split their castaways into 'Brains, Brawns, and Beauty' like they did in season 28, "Cagayan". This meant three tribes of six people each, all of whom salvaged items off the boat at the start of their journey and departed on rafts for their beaches. 'Brains', named Chan Loh, had blue buffs; 'Brawns', named To Tang, had red buffs; 'Beauty', named Gondol, had yellow buffs.

Answer: Genders
Upon arriving at their starting destination, the eighteen castaways of this season were immediately split into two tribes of nine down gender lines with all of the men taking orange buffs as Manono and all of the women taking blue buffs as Salani. They had sixty seconds to salvage what they could from the back of their arrival vehicle and were given separate maps to their camps. What they did not know was that both camps were set up on the same beach; they would be living together in the same area but would still be competing as two distinct tribes for the first time in "Survivor" history.

Answer: Eighteen
Two tribes of eight met on the beaches of Upolu, Samoa where they were informed of two returning tribemates, much like already occurred in "Redemption Island" in the earlier season. This season, the returning pair were also former 'Villains' appearing in a handful of previous seasons each, Ozzy (from "Cook Islands" and "Micronesia") and Coach (from "Tocantins" and "Heroes vs. Villains"). To select their teams, the two drew eggs randomly, blue for Coach (for Upolu) and red for Ozzy (for Savaii). They immediately moved into a hero vs. hero challenge for taro and flint.

Answer: Sue
Early on in the game, Sue, Kelly, Rudy and Richard had formed a four person alliance which they vowed to make the final four. Although that did happen, Kelly had contemplated flipping alliances when she discovered she was on the bottom of that four. This particularly angered Sue. Furthermore, Kelly had won immunity at the final four forcing the others to turn on each other. The initial vote was a 2-2 tie between Sue and Richard. On the revote, Kelly switched her vote and Sue was eliminated.
Sue became a member of the jury and at the final tribal council between Kelly and Richard, Sue infamously declared that Richard was the snake and Kelly was the rat. She then said that the game should turn out like nature where the snake eats the rat. Sue cast her vote for Richard to win and he did 4-3.

Answer: Eight
In the beginning of the game, the sixteen castaways entered the Jalapćo region of Brazil in the back of a truck. With them, they could find all the supplies they'd need and their tribe flags. Eight of the people, each wearing red buffs, were part of the Jalapao tribe while the other eight, all wearing black, were Timbira. When Jeff told them that the game had begun, they were allowed to finally speak to one another, having made their first impressions, and they were able to salvage what they could.

Leaving Shanghai on a train and then taking a truck to their destination, the sixteen castaways were asked to enjoy a welcoming ceremony before dropping their things and heading out with their maps to their new campsites. They were also handed a single copy of "The Art of War", a work which should inspire their gameplay. Both tribes had their camps erected near the Zhelin Reservoir. Fei Long wore red while Zhan Hu wore yellow and both had eight members.

Answer: Darrah Johnson and Kelly Wiglesworth
Kelly won four straight individual immunity challenges in "Survivor: Borneo". She practically swept the competition in the immunity challenges department beginning in the Final 6 all the way to the Final 3. Darrah won three straight individual immunity challenges, which guaranteed her safety during Nights 30, 33, and 36 in "Survivor Panama: Pearl Islands". Jenna Morasca won four individual immunity challenges in "Survivor: The Amazon", but not in a consecutive manner. She won the 2nd, 5th (in which Jenna gave up her immunity necklace to Heidi), 7th, and 8th individual immunity challenges in that season. Amanda also won more individual immunity challenges than Darrah with four wins. However, she won them in two separate seasons: two in "Survivor: China", and two in "Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites". Interestingly, those challenges Amanda won happened to be the last two individual immunity challenges in both seasons.

Answer: Ethan, Lex, and Big Tom
Buddies from Africa, Ethan, Lex, and Big Tom formed a strong, tight bond that almost carried them to the Final Three. However, Kim Johnson won Immunity, so the three men were forced to turn against one another. Big Tom voted for Lex, and Ethan, Lex, and Kim voted for Big Tom. Then Kim won the last Immunity Challenge, ensuring that only she was safe from the vote. She could pick either Lex or Ethan to go up against in the Jury vote. She chose Ethan and voted Lex out of the tribe. Ethan won against Kim Johnson in a 5-2 vote, but I think it would have been interesting if Ethan, Lex, and Big Tom had made it to the Final Three.

Answer: It could only be used at the first Tribal Council
In the chaos of the start of the competition, Ryan of the Hustlers tribe located the Secret Advantage to be found on the ship, later determining it to be a 'Super Immunity Idol'. This idol, playable after the votes were read, could only be used by a player at the very first Tribal Council, meaning that if the Yawa tribe didn't have to vote someone out on Day 3, Ryan could will it to someone on the first losing tribe anonymously. He would end up giving it to Chrissy of the Levu tribe who, while secured by the new twist, didn't need to use it. Katrina was eliminated instead.
From Quiz: Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers
Answer: A powerless hidden immunity idol
When found, a Beware Advantage states on the outside that if opened the contents must be followed. If the finder did not want to take that risk, they could leave the package where found and walk away.
In Season 43, an idol was included but it was powerless. To activate the idol, the finder had to obtain beads that decorated each tribemates' bag and add them to the bracelet idol before bringing it to Tribal Council for protection if played. If the bracelet was missing even a single bead from the bracelet any time the finder went to Tribal Council, they were forbidden to vote. A further restriction was that each bead had to be willingly given to the finder - stealing a bead was not permitted.
The person on each tribe who found the Beware Advantage went about the task differently:
Cody found the Beware Advantage at the Vesi camp on day 5 just hours before Tribal Council. He asked for help from his trusted tribe mates Jesse and Nneka. Between them they managed to surreptitiously persuade Dwight, Justine, and Noelle to give Cody their beads in time for Tribal Council, hence allowing Cody to vote.
On Day 6, Karla found the Beware Advantage at the Coco camp but did not want it initially, but went back later and claimed it. Without telling the tribe, that she found it, Karla obtained all her tribemates' beads by trading some of her own personal items, which retained her vote and activated her Idol.
Jeanine found the Beware Advantage at the Baka camp on day 10. She shared it with her tribe mates (except Gabler) but still persuaded him to give her his bead. She, therefore, had an active idol and kept her vote.

Answer: Kourtney
The first Reward/Immunity Challenge was a complicated obstacle course visited on Day 3 wherein the tribes needed to jump from a twenty-five foot tall tower into a net, cross a balance beam, and get over a rope bridge. Kourtney, who required medical attention, took the first jump but landed on her wrist. Ultimately, Salani was disqualified for having too few competitors and they were sent to Tribal Council. Though the Manono tribe was given the opportunity to complete the challenge as a gesture of good faith, they refused. Ultimately, no one was voted out; Kourtney's wrist was broken and required surgery, so she was removed from the game.

Brandon, placed on Upolu, spends several days hiding his back and arm tattoos that actually feature the name 'HANTZ' on them so that he can prevent his tribemates of creating the association with his uncle, Russell, who'd previously played the game three times (getting to the finals based on his deceptions twice). Brandon revealed his relationship to Coach (who was, at one time, voted out by Russell) on Day 5. He told the rest of the Upolu tribe on Day 8. He was voted out on Day 35.

Answer: He fell into the fire
Michael was more or less the leader of the Kucha tribe at the time. While tended to the fire, wind blew the smoke into Michael's face, causing him to momentarily pass out. He fell into the fire and badly burnt his hands. A helicopter brought in the medical crew who determined his injuries were too serious and pulled him from the game. His evacuation was crucial to the game because his removal evened up the tribe number 5 to 5.
From Quiz: Classic Moments in "Survivor" History
Answer: By helicopter
After the initial scramble of claiming items to start the game, Jeff informed the castaways that two of them, one from each tribe, would not be making the four hour trip to the campsite. At that point, everyone made their first votes in the game. Jalapao voted Sandy while Timbira voted Sierra. Jeff informed the two that they would not be taking the four hour trip to camp but they would still be participating. Instead, they'd be taken by helicopter to their respective camps. This posed a problem; these two needed to figure out how to make up ground in the social game. Not only that, but they could hunt for a Hidden Immunity Idol when they arrived!
