Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Like many books, the Old Testament has heroes and villains. These are some of the heroes and where you can read about them:

Ruth was a Moabite woman who showed incredible loyalty to her mother-in-law Naomi after the death of her husband. She later married Boaz, and together they became part of the lineage of King David. Ruth is a symbol of loyalty and faithfulness in the Bible. (See Ruth 1-4)

Esther was a brave queen who saved her people from destruction by risking her life to speak to the king. She revealed the evil plan of Haman, who sought to destroy the Jewish people, and used her position to ensure their survival. (See Esther 1-10)

Joshua succeeded Moses as the leader of the Israelites and led them into the Promised Land. He is most famous for bringing down the walls of Jericho through faith and obedience to God. (See Joshua 1-6)

Daniel is best known for being thrown into a lions' den because of his faithfulness to God. God protected him and he survived the night with the lions, proving that God honours those who are faithful. (See Daniel 6)

Gideon was a judge chosen by God to lead Israel to victory over their enemies. Although he felt unqualified, he obeyed God's command and led a small army to defeat the mighty Midianites. (See Judges 6-8)

Deborah was a prophetess and the only female judge in Israel. She led Israel to victory over the Canaanites and inspired others with her wisdom, faith and leadership. (See Judges 4-5)

Samson was given superhuman strength by God to fight the Philistines, Israel's enemies. He is known for his feats of strength, including toppling a Philistine temple, but he also struggled with personal weaknesses. (See Judges 13-16)

Naomi was Ruth's mother-in-law and a key figure in helping Ruth find a new life after her husband's death. Her story is one of guidance, wisdom and the deep bond between her and Ruth. (See Ruth 1-4)

Hannah was a woman of great faith who prayed fervently for a child. God answered her prayers, and she gave birth to Samuel, whom she dedicated to God's service as a prophet. (See 1 Samuel 1-2)

Ehud was a judge who freed Israel from the oppression of the Moabites. His wisdom and courage are shown when he secretly assassinated the Moabite king Eglon and led Israel to victory. (See Judges 3:12-30)

Jesus Christ, Peter, Paul, Mary Magdalene, John the Baptist, Stephen were notable figures in the New Testament.
