Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Flammable Jelly

This game was played in the original "SAW" by drenching the victim (Mark Wilson) with a flammable jelly and forcing the victim to search for a combination to a lock. There was number written everywhere on the wall and it was pitch dark. To see, he had to light a candle and not to mention had to walk on a floor of broken glass. Wilson accidently ignited himself causing him to burn to death.

This was the third trap featured in the first installment of the "SAW" franchise.
2. The Reverse Beartrap

The reverse beartrap appeared in the first "SAW" film. This trap was connected to the upper and lower jaws of the victim (Amanda Young). The jaws were forced together and held with tension, so when the timer went off, the tension was released, allowing the jaws to freely spread apart with deadly force. Young was able to free herself and was recruited by John Kramer (Jigsaw) to help carry out future plans.

This took place in the original "SAW" and was the fourth trap used.
3. The Death Mask

The Death Mask made its mark in "SAW II" and the victim of this trap was Michael Marks. He had to cut out a key that was implanted into his eye with a scalpel. The Death Mask was a mask that would close in on his head and pierce it with the nails if Michael wasn't able to unlock the trap within 60 seconds.

He was unable to cut out the key causing the mask to close, killing him. This contraption is the first trap we encountered in "SAW II".
4. The Needle Pit

This particular game appeared in "SAW II" and was intended for character Xavier Chavez but he pushed Amanda Young in, causing her to have to locate the key. The pit was actually a giant hole in the center of the room filled with thousands of filthy, used syringes, with the key being located amongst the needles.

The purpose of this test was to unlock a door that contained an antidote which could save one of the characters. This was the seventh trap used in "SAW II".
5. The Angel Trap

Detective Allison Kerry was the player in the second game that appeared in "SAW III" called the angel trap. Attached to her back was a heavy metal device with two mechanical arms with metal brackets hooked into her ribcage. Once the game began, the contraption would spread out its mechanical arms like wings and rip out the brackets hooked into Kerry's chest.

The key to free her was in a beaker filled with acid and she had 60 seconds to free herself.
6. The Freezer Room

The victim of the fifth trap in "SAW III" was Danica Scott and this was the first part of Jeff Denlon's trial. Danica was stripped down entirely and chained by the arms to the ceiling in the middle of a freezer room. On both sides of her were water sprayers that would spray her with icy water.

This would ultimately result in her being frozen to death if Jeff Denlon did not find the key to rescue her. Danica would be killed due to Denlon not releasing her in time.
7. The Scalping Seat

The victim of the third trap from "SAW IV" trap was Brenda. She was chained to a mechanical chair in the middle of the living room of Officer Rigg's apartment in "SAW IV". This was a test for Officer Rigg's to leave her behind and just continue his way.

However, he decided to try to free her which activated the gear system on the chair causing it to slowly pull back Brenda's hair and tearing off her scalp.
8. The Spine Cutters

This contraption appeared in "SAW IV" and was played by criminal defense lawyer Art Blank. It was an contraption along his back with two pliers that were aimed at Art's neck and would cut his spine if he didn't follow the orders given to him. Therefore, he had to build and set up the traps and also had to abduct other victims. Blank didn't meet his demise by the trap, but by being shot in the head by Daniel Rigg.

This was the ninth trap featured in "SAW IV".
9. The Pendulum Trap

Seth Baxter was the victim of the pendulum trap which was the first trap in "SAW V". His arms and feet were chained to a metal table with a large contraption which held a single large blade in the shape of a pendulum above him. Once the game began, the pendulum started to swing back and forth and was lowered down in regular intervals.

After 60 seconds it would kill him by cutting his body in half. To survive the contraption, Seth had the choice to insert his hands into vises and activate them by pressing the buttons.

This would result in his hands being slowly crushed. Seth could not and did not survive.
10. The Shotgun Carousel

Appearing as the sixth trap in "SAW VI", the shotgun carousel consisted of six victims who were chained to a rotating playground roundabout. Once the game began, the carousel occasionally stopped, causing one of the victims to sit directly in front of a mounted shotgun. Character William Easton controlled when the contraption stopped ultimately giving him the power to decide which victim was killed.
