Cary Elwes plays Dr Lawrence Gordon, who became John's accomplice and most trusted ally after sawing off his own foot in the first "Saw" film and surviving. He then helps John with any medical procedures which need carrying out for certain traps, including planting the key behind Michael's eye in "Saw 2" and sewing up the mouth and eyes of Art Blank and Trevor, respectively, in "Saw 4". Shawnee Smith plays Amanda, John's first accomplice.

They are later joined by Detective Hoffman who is played by Costas Mandylor. Hoffman had killed his sister's murderer and made it look like a Jigsaw trap. John takes him on board to help him see the point of his work - to make people appreciate their lives, not just to kill them. Scott Patterson plays Agent Peter Strahm, who is believed to be helping John after Detective Mark Hoffman tries to frame him.

Answer: In a body bag

Four people have been tested and killed at the car scrap yard. It turns out that this is where Hoffman has been hiding. He causes a big explosion, using it as a distraction for him to be able to remove one of the victim's body from a body bag, place this body in his hideout, then get inside the body bag himself.

He subsequently gets transported to the police station. From there he has free access and manages to kill everybody there and go after Jill Tuck.

We see this in a flashback scene; Bobby is drinking with Cale when they see on television that another Jigsaw victim has come forward, adding to a growing number of victims. Cale says if they weren't so messed up after their games, those people could make a fortune selling their stories.

This is the start of the deception that is to come - Bobby pretends to have survived a trap in which he had to stab meat hooks through his pectoral muscles and pull himself up a chain to reach his freedom. This is of course a lie from which he can use to make money from his book, and find fame.

Answer: Doctor Lawrence Gordon

Dr Gordon is John's most trusted ally and was entrusted with carrying out John's final wish; to protect Jill. Dr Gordon is keeping a close eye on Hoffman, and has been told he knows what to do should any harm come to Jill. There are also two other people present and also wearing the pig's masks; it is not revealed in the actual film who these other two people are, opening up a lot of possibilities. From the DVD commentary track, the writers of the film tell us that these two additional figures in pig masks are the two guys from the start of the film, Brad and Ryan, who were in the trap with their cheating girlfriend.

In the end, we see the final scene where Dr Gordon leaves Hoffman shackled up in the bathroom from the original film. The game really does come full circle.

When Bobby finds the tape in this room, we hear Jigsaw speak about Nina. "She has been your publicist for years, knowing your lies, but choosing to speak no evil. She has been richly rewarded for her words, but today, she will be rewarded for her silence." Bobby manages to pull the hook up from her stomach and out through her throat.

However, because part of the game is keeping the noise level below a certain decibel level, when Bobby removes the hook from Nina's mouth and moves to unlock the trap, she carries on screaming and making noise, so the metal pole spikes surrounding her neck plunge into her throat, killing her.

Answer: Joyce

Joyce is Bobby's wife. We hear throughout the film how he met her after his test, and how much she has helped him through it. The commentary reveals that she was another victim of Jigsaw's and they met at the help group. When it turns out that Bobby has not in fact been tested (until now), Jigsaw leaves it up to him to reveal to his poor wife his terrible secret.

It is she who consequently ends up paying for this, as she is burnt alive in a giant oven, after Bobby fails the Meat Hook test. The oven is in the shape of a pig, keeping to the pig theme throughout all of these films. Nina deals with public relations and promotion of Bobby's self help book. Suzanne is his lawyer and Cale his best friend. Each of them know about the lie Bobby is telling, but all are using it for their own gain.

It is in fact Cale who knocks a glass bottle off, as he is blindfolded and has to rely on Bobby's voice to help guide him across a room on a complex route across the floor boards. As we hear Jigsaw tell Bobby on the tape, Cale "knows all your sins, yet he acts as though he hears no evil. Today, what he hears will be the difference between life and death." He meets his fate when Bobby throws him the key to unlock himself; it looks as though Cale has caught it, but the key bounces off his hand then chest. Cale must then listen to his only hope of freedom hit the floor.

The timer runs out and the noose around Cale's neck tightens.

Suzanne is Bobby's lawyer. As we hear on the tape, Jigsaw says she "swore an oath of ethics, but chose to see no evil in order to benefit herself." Bobby must take the weight of one part of the trap for 30 seconds. He fails to do so, so she ends up with her eyes and mouth being pierced by metal spikes.

Chester Bennington, one of the lead singers from the band Linkin Park, plays Evan. He is, along with his girlfriend and two of his friends, being tested for being racists. He must free himself before the car he is in reaches full revs, which he fails to do and the gang end up meeting their deaths in various gruesome ways.

Answer: Hoffman saved Gibson's life.

A homeless man attacked Gibson when he was a policeman. Hoffman saved him, then shot the homeless man in cold blood even though the homeless man was unarmed. He wanted Gibson to keep it quiet. He didn't keep quiet, but Hoffman ended up getting promoted shortly afterwards so it made no difference.

As soon as Jill Tuck goes to the F.B.I and tells Gibson that it is Hoffman who is the accomplice to Jigsaw, Gibson is on the case and goes out to try to stop him.
