Abigail Williams is a Phoenix-based band formed in 2004 which started out in the metalcore genre but increasingly leaned into darker themes and shifted to a black metal sound. Black metal is characterized by ethereal sounds, often achieved through keyboard and synthesizer effects, but also makes use of folk instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy. Ashley, or Ellyllon (b. 1984) recorded three albums with Abigail Williams after joining in 2005 though eventually left to take a job as Cradle of Filth's keyboard player.

Jinjer formed in 2008. After a surge in hostilities between Russia and Ukraine in 2022, the band left Ukraine and have raised awareness to the plight of Ukrainian people during the period of war. During their careers they have released five studio albums, including their album "Duél" in 2025.

Not much is known about the band, but although they are not a household name, they are well-known within the metal community. Tatiana, or "Tati", (b.1987) joined the band in 2009 and has come to be regarded as having one of the most powerful voices in extreme music.

Arch Enemy was formed in 1995 by former members of Carcass, Mercyful Fate, and Nevermore. During the course of their careers they have released 12 studio albums, and are regarded as one of the seminal bands within the melodic death metal genre and the Scandinavian music scene. Angela Gossow (b. 1974) recorded seven full-length albums with the band before resigning in 2014 to spend more time with her family.

Kittie is a nu-metal band from London, Ontario active since 1996. They have released seven studio albums. The Lander sisters, Morgan (b. 1982) and Mercedes (b. 1984) have been the only constant members of the band. The band went in hiatus in 2017 after the death of long-time bassist Trish Doan. Regrouping in 2022 the band has been welcomed by a generation of older millennials who formed their original fanbase. Kittie experienced great success in the early 2000s appearing on major tours such as Ozzfest 2000 and Ozzfest 2002.

Nita Strauss (b. 1986) has established herself as one of the greatest guitarists in the metal scene today. In addition to her time as Alice Cooper's guitarist, she also has performed the same role with Demi Lovato, and has worked extensively as a studio musician in LA. The band appeared on Fuse's "Uranium", MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" and received high billing on tours such as Ozzfest and Music as a Weapon, Download Festival, Jaegermeister, and Wacken.
