Hager, born on August 7th, 1944, guest starred as Mark Farragut, the District Attorney of DeKalb County, in this episode. He played the role for just this one episode of "The West Wing." He was in the films "Leap of Faith", "Double Jeopardy" and "Traffic".

C.J. then asked about the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs but he, too, was gone for the day. C.J.'s assistant finally told her that nobody was at the White House to assist the Native Americans.

While Josh eventually went to Boca Raton, he did initially tell Donna to cancel his flight there.
