"The Last of Us" S1:E7 "Left Behind" Quiz

Ellie is shown running laps around a basketball court with her classmates. A girl named Bethany takes Ellie's Walkman and tells Ellie that she's not going to do anything about it since her friend Riley isn't around to back her up. Ellie promptly punches her in the face making Bethany have to get medical attention but Ellie also gets a black eye from the fight.

The Walkman was manufactured by Sony and first released in Japan in 1979. The device was revolutionary in that it allowed people to play cassette tapes on a portable device. In 2011 the Walkman was modified to only play digitally downloaded music rather than physical media.

Captain Kwong tells Ellie that he is done lecturing her about her behavior. Ellie expects to be put in the 'hole' where students that break a major rule like fighting are placed as punishment. Instead, Kwong tells Ellie that if she follows protocol she can be an officer. Ellie wants to know what is so great about being an officer and Kwong tells her that officers keep everyone from killing each other.

Riley comes in through the window of their room which is similar to a college dorm. Riley thinks it would be funny to cover Ellie's mouth while she is sleeping but Ellie gets startled and nearly stabs her. Ellie is also upset at Riley for disappearing for three weeks which made her think that Riley had died.

Answer: Whiskey bottle

Riley leads Ellie up to the 7th floor of a building and they come across a man that has recently died. They notice that the man had a bottle of whiskey and pills next to him and Riley comments that's why you don't mix alcohol and pills. Riley and Ellie then take the bottle of whiskey and they drink most of it over the course of the night.

Answer: Escalator

Riley has Ellie go up to an overlook in the mall and then dramatically turns on all of the lights. Ellie is amazed that the electricity still works in the mall and that the mall isn't sealed off as she had been lead to believe. Ellie sees 'moving stairs' and goes up and down several times and is amazed by them. Riley tells Ellie that it is called an escalator and then laughs and comments "I guess that makes five wonders at the mall" as she hadn't been including the escalator as one of the four wonders she wanted to show Ellie.

Answer: Lingerie

Riley tells Ellie that the mall was looted for items like shoes but the lingerie store (Victoria's Secret) was not. Ellie looks at thong underwear and comments that she doesn't know how or why people ever used to wear something like that. Riley laughs along and says that she can't imagine Ellie wearing one.

Answer: Sewage detail

Riley tells Ellie that Kwong informed her that she will likely be on sewage detail when she turns 17. This information prompts Riley to run away and when she does she is encountered by the Fireflies. The Fireflies resistance recruit her after Riley tells them she doesn't approve of FEDRA's tactics. Ellie tells Riley that she is crazy and that the Fireflies are their enemies.

Answer: Mortal Kombat II

The first two wonders Riley shows Ellie are the carousel and photo booth. In their dorm room Ellie has a poster for the game "Mortal Kombat II" so when she sees it at the arcade in the mall she gets very excited. When Ellie asks Riley how to play, she is told to just keep pressing buttons. Ellie plays as the character Raiden while Riley selects Mileena. Only two matches of the game are shown with Ellie and Riley each winning once.

Answer: Kiss

At the Halloween store Riley and Ellie put on a werewolf and clown mask and then start dancing on top of the counters while listening to music. They eventually take off their masks and kiss each other for the first time. Unfortunately, the loud sounds that Ellie and Riley made awaken an Infected that had been in the back of the Halloween store. Sadly, the Infected ends up biting both Ellie and Riley. Believing that the infection will kill them, Riley tells Ellie that she wants to spend as much time together as they can rather than take the easy way out and end it right away.

Answer: Stitch him

At the beginning of the episode Joel is bleeding out and he tells Ellie to take his gun and leave. Throughout her life everyone that Ellie had loved had left her or died. Ellie had developed a father-like bond with Joel and she wants to do whatever she can to save him. Joel had been stabbed in the stomach and Ellie locates some thread and a sewing needle and uses it to stitch up Joel's wound.
