Wednesday Addams finds social media to be "a soul-sucking void of meaningless affirmation". This statement is prompted after Enid Sinclair tells her that she needs to get on Tik-Tok, Snapchat and other social media. A running theme of the first season is Wednesday's mistrust of modern technology.

Answer: Gomez Addams

Gomez Addams is the father of Wednesday and he tells Wednesday's new roommate Enid Sinclair that Wednesday always looks half dead in the first episode. This is in stark contrast to Enid who is extremely bubbly. Throughout the season Gomez refers to Wednesday as his 'little deathtrap' due to how she deals with her enemies.

Answer: Color

Prior to Wednesday becoming her roommate, Enid's room was full of colorful decorations. Wednesday quickly changed her side of the room to an all-black theme to which Morticia comments to Enid that Wednesday is allergic to color. Wednesday will comment later in the season that whenever she sees a rainbow or hears an annoying pop song she'll always think of Enid.

Answer: Dislike, enjoy

Ms. Thornhill takes an interest in making sure that Wednesday Addams makes friends and adapts to life at Nevermore Academy. However, Wednesday tells her "I act as if I don't care if people dislike me...deep down I secretly enjoy it". Wednesday has little interest in making friends or what people think of her but eventually she makes friends at Nevermore Academy in spite of enjoying when people dislike her.

Answer: It's amateurs like you who give kidnapping a bad name.

When Wednesday figures out how to access the secret corridor to the basement via snapping twice in front of the Edgar Allan Poe statue, a black sack is placed over her head. When she has the sack removed she sees a group of students with masks on in front of her. She recognizes their voices and tells them that "it's amateurs like you who give kidnapping a bad name".

This is my favorite quote from the first season of "Wednesday". Wednesday tells Sheriff Galpin "I don't bury hatchets. I sharpen them". This quote perfectly reflects Wednesday's sarcastic and dark side. Eventually Sheriff Galpin and Wednesday realize that the sheriff's son Tyler is the monstrous Hyde that has killed six people in Jericho and they work to apprehend him.

Answer: Joseph Crackstone

Joseph Crackstone was a man whose repressive actions against outcasts 400 years prior resulted in the deaths of dozens of outcasts including an ancestor of Wednesday Addams. Ms. Thornhill ends up re-animating the deceased Crackstone and when Wednesday first comes in contact with him she states "Why am I sharing this apocalypse with a pilgrim"? Wednesday knew the history of Crackstone but had no idea that Ms. Thornhill's kindness toward her was a ploy to use her to try to re-animate an evil man from the past.

Answer: Xavier Thorpe

Xavier Thorpe shows a genuine interest in Wednesday from the moment that she enters Nevermore Academy. He saves her from being squashed by a falling gargoyle statue and he openly shares how he feels about her. However, Wednesday tells Xavier that emotion equals weakness. Xavier really wants to get close to Wednesday and his frustration prompts him to exclaim that "being your friend should come with a warning label".

Answer: Pugsley Addams

Pugsley Addams is the younger brother of Wednesday and in the first scene of the series he is being bullied at their high school. Wednesday uses her psychic vision abilities to uncover the identities of the bullies and she exacts revenge with piranhas.

She gets expelled and sent to Nevermore Academy where she tells Pugsley that he's soft and weak and won't survive long without her. For most of the season, Wednesday's family are just minor characters so it is nice when they are together and their family dysfunctional dynamics are on display.

Answer: Tyler Galpin

Before she realizes that Tyler Galpin transforms into a murderous monster called a Hyde, Wednesday has a date with him. When they are about to kiss she tells Tyler she's not friend or more-than-friend material but he still wants to be with her. They don't kiss at this point but they later share a kiss during which Wednesday has a psychic vision and realizes that he is the killer.
