"Wednesday" S1:E5 "You Reap What You Woe" Quiz

Answer: Garrett Gates

Garrett Gates was in love with Morticia Frump and he crashes the Rave'N dance. Once there he is enraged to see the sight of Morticia kissing Gomez Addams. Garrett picked up a fencing sword and attacked Gomez but Garrett eventually succumbs to a stab wound and falls off of a ledge at the top of the school. Larissa Weems sees Garrett's body fall off the ledge and she also notices Gomez holding a sword at the top of the ledge.

Answer: Parents' Weekend

Both Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair are embarrassed by their family and have to brace themselves for Parents' Weekend. Wednesday's brother also comes along for Parents' Weekend at Nevermore and he tells Wednesday how much he misses her. Wednesday tells her parents that she is upset that she was abandoned to Nevermore but that it has been eventful as she has survived a murder attempt and she is tracking down a deadly monster.

Answer: Lumberjack

Larissa and Morticia were roommates at Nevermore Academy 30+ years prior and had been good friends. However, Morticia started dating Gomez Addams causing a lot of jealousy and envy from Larissa as she liked him too. Larissa was also jealous of the success that Morticia had at school and whenever she felt on top Morticia always managed to cut her down (like a lumberjack) unintentionally.

Answer: Potpourri

The family therapy session included Pugsley, Wednesday, Morticia and Gomez Addams. While Wednesday demands that her parents talk about the death of Garrett Gates in 1990, Pugsley eats from a bowl of candy on the table. At the end of the abrupt therapy session Dr. Kinbott informs Pugsley that it is not candy but rather potpourri and he can take the bowl.

While outside Gomez Addams eats some of the potpourri as well.

Answer: Honey

In the prior episode Eugene was slashed by a monster causing him to be in critical condition. Wednesday visits him and Thing and puts honey from hive #3 on Eugene's nightstand. She tells him that she is taking care of all of their beekeeping tasks. While at the hospital Wednesday meets Eugene's moms who tell her that they are so happy that Eugene has a friend like Wednesday.

Answer: Blue finger

Once Wednesday digs to the casket of Garrett Gates and opens it her and Morticia are spotted by a police officer and taken to the station. However, Wednesday was able to 'obtain' a finger from Garrett that had turned blue. Wednesday had raided Garrett's grave to try and exonerate her father Gomez after he had been implicated in Garrett's death with new but fabricated evidence.

The blue finger and Morticia's description of Garrett foaming at the mouth and having dilated pupils made Wednesday conclude that Garrett had nightshade poisoning.

This was confirmed by Mayor Walker when Wednesday and Morticia confronted him about the case and he admits that the nightshade poisoning had been omitted from the coroner's report.

Answer: Grenades

Pugsley is distraught about missing his sister while she is away at school. Wednesday tries to cheer him up but he tells her that he misses her being mean to him. Wednesday then gives Pugsley bait, a grenade, that had been packed by their father for fishing. The second grenade is thrown into the lake by Wednesday and after the explosion several fish float belly up to the surface.

Answer: Lycanthropy

Enid tries to tell her mom about how she is doing in Nevermore Academy and that she has a boyfriend named Ajax but her mom is only concerned about whether her wolf side has come out yet. She shows Enid several Lycanthropy Camp brochures but Enid tells her she is not interested and that she should be proud of who she is instead of try to change her.

Lycanthropy is the transformation of a person into a wolf. Several other students at Nevermore Academy are lycanthropes and able to fully transform into a wolf.

Answer: Stalking

Garrett Gates had a crush on Morticia Frump (later Addams after marriage) that was not reciprocated. However, he kept making advances on her and would follow her around and make her feel uncomfortable. Morticia lodged a complaint of stalking against Garrett in 1990 but Sheriff Walker (later the Mayor of Jericho) did not act on the complaint since Garrett's father was a wealthy and influential member of the town. Thirty-two years later Morticia tells Mayor Walker that Garrett's death could have been prevented if the stalking complaint had been taken seriously.

Answer: Raven

Morticia tells Wednesday that their visions are tainted by their general outlook about people. She tells Wednesday that she has a negative or raven-like outlook about people and it is reflected in her visions that typically show bad past or future events. Wednesday asks her mother how she can control or eliminate her visions but Morticia does not have a simple solution.
